I do find the Andrew Ridgeley thing a bit ODD. He seemed to almost disown his music career until a few years ago and suddenly he's EVERYWHERE at Christmas. It's not even about George dying, it's way more recent than that but, yes, he absolutely plays on it. They even wheel out Pepsi & Shirlie everywhere they can...though about that NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND COULD COMPLAIN.
 
I hereby declare Andrew Ridgeley, Pepsi AND Shirlie ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE until Kylie has a Christmas number one :evil:
 
And if that's not tomorrow I'm issuing a KYLIE FATWA on their heads :evil:
 
The way I see it is that Kylie absolutely needs a Christmas #1 in her arsenal even if it is naff (though honestly I've come around to it quite a bit).

As much as Ridgleley is an instant switch off for me (the new Noddy Holder), I'm not sure he makes an awful lot from Last Christmas.
 
I've not seen a thing from Ridgeley, or about Last Christmas this year, other than it being reduced to 59p on iTunes - and even that was only because someone posted it on SayHey.

The overformatting thing was definitely an issue for me as well. When there are so many versions and there's no way I'd consider all of them, but still did quite a few for firstly Disco and then a couple less for Tension I, it did consequently make me reflect and realise I was FINE not owning all of them. And when I realised that, it made me question whether I needed to own ANY of them, particularly when other than the Infinite Disco DVD, I've never opened a single one of the ones I did buy.

I do think for the vast majority of people there is a tipping point. But evidently there are still enough fans still on the other side to make it work.
 
And of course the funny thing in all this is that Kylie may have motivated TRAGIC GAYS LIKE ME into multiple 69p downloads, but it's still EVIL AMAZON who really did it and benefit most

I'm still a bit AGOG that Cliff Richard was almost ten years younger than she is now when he foiled her first attempt at the Christmas #1.
 
The extended version of XMAS has a far better and less frenetic instrumental behind it.
 
I did just buy the a cappella version as well.

It's worth spending 59p to think you're cancelling out the streaming of hundreds of Facebook mums.
