Got up, had a row with Mr Sheena which was entirely his doing as he didn’t want to go and queue at the middle class bread shop (don’t ask) and somehow blamed me for it, went to the allotment to pick carrots, braved three supermarkets in search of cream soda (also don’t ask), and now am finally done.

Time to start prepping.

I really need this last delivery to turn up :shy: It was tracked in Borehamwood yesterday morning 3am last, which is only a few miles from me.

We're going to go out for lunch somewhere as the weather is pleasant and I'm reasonably well prepped with little needing doing.

I need to pick up a bottle of rum, a bottle of the forgotten clementine juice, a bag of lemons, wrapping the final few stocking fillers and I'm good to go :disco: :santa:

I have to get sweet chili sauce for our prawn tempura tonight. Our Tesco should be ok, it's never busy in there.

I think all I’ve really got left I can do today is ice the cake.

I don’t think I’ve ever been quite so organised- which is bizarre considering how slow I’ve been generally getting Christmas sorted.

I've got a tesco finest butternut squash parcel to put in the oven tomorrow for lunch. 44 mins and done :disco: Might chuck a samosa or two in the air fryer while I'm at it.

Been out - centre of Glasgow is normal for a Wednesday i.e. not busy. Bought myself a Stevie Wonder album I don't have - which is most of them actually but I've had a lot of people tell me that The Secret Life Of Plants is a bonkers masterpiece, so here we are.

...and now I'm hungry.

Just skirting the edge of town and it doesn't look too busy at all. I bet there's a queue of men outside Pandora waiting to buy rings and charms their wives and girlfriends will be thoroughly underwhelmed by, though.

Absolutely detested being in town earlier and yesterday. Today was less busy because women are efficient. It was mostly MEN, people who possibly don't celebrate Christmas and people drinking already.

I was amazed how busy the restaurant/ bar was we went to last night. Amazing meal btw.

If I wasn't so terminally shattered, I'd be feeling fully festive, I've out four times in last week.

I was reading how moldy houses can cause all kinds of health issues including fatigue and chest infections. We do have a problem with it (not traumatic amounts like you see online), but the increase in both health issues with me coincided with moving in here.

I'm just relaxing now - getting ready for my annual viewing of The Muppet Christmas Carol. Gotta get the timing right.

I've done my most-hated Christmas Eve job, the sausagemeat stuffing. It's currently in the Ninja Crispi roasting but appears to be cooking much faster than it does in the oven so I'm having to check it every five minutes. Nobody wants burnt stuffing.

Once the dryer's finished I can get showered and dressed, then wrap presents, then put the tree and decorations up then go to my mum's for 5pm. Highly likely the decorations with be a couple of strands of tinsel for the sake of saying I at least put something up.
