I stumbled across a episode of 'Trying' with Rafe Spall last night - comedy set in Camden about a couple looking to adopt - discovered its been going since 2020 so I'm going to start from the beginning as my nightly 'light-ent' something to shove on current series.

Watched the first two Episodes of The Walsh Sisters on BBC1 this evening. I like.
 
How to Get to Heaven From Belfast was a wild romp with whip-smart dialogue, as you would expect from Lisa McGee.

I started Yellowjackets last night and just couldn't get into it. Not sure if it was just not for me or I wasn't in the mood to concentrate on it.

I think if the first season doesnt grab you, you probably won’t enjoy the leaner mid-seasons.
 
Ladies in Black debut season.

Debi Mazar (whose work includes being friends with Madonna) looks incredible, like an airbrished picture of Belinda Carlisle in motion. Sadly her Polish accent *adopts Ru voice* needs more polish. Miranda Otta (whose work includes Cashmere Mafia, Lord of the Rings, New Adventures of Sabrina) has a notable role using her regular accent.

1960s Aussie department store based drama. Only 6 episodes (with a sophomore season green-lit as of 2 years ago), so I'll get through it.

3 episodes (down) under my belt. It's camp, not as ridiculous as it could be, but breezes along quite the thing. What does take me out (and let's be clear, I'm hooked on Mazar's tongue-and-eye rolling accent) is the music such as No Doubt and Bananarama - it's not as if the 60s was short of a tune or too and they could have really unearthed some kitschy gems to accessorise the fashion aspect.

I knew I recognised this name from the credits of The Walsh Sisters! She's in that too! :disco:

Wrapped up as expected. Seems like it was never truly confirmed there would be another series, so as a standalone it's a decent, swift and non-taxing watch. Nice male thighs to look at in episode 5 if you're struggling.
 
Finishing up series 2 of Hijack. I've never seen the first, which I'm told is better. I must say, I don't have a clue what the baddies are really up to, but have just been going along for the ride.
 
My MAFS Aus episodes aren't loading, so I've started the American version. Season 15 is the first one available. It's a little different in that these guys are legally married. It's taken so long to get going (a 2 hour launch episode with standard ones lasting 80 minutes), but enough cracks are there for it to finally begin episode 7 where they move in to their apartments.
