We've talked about this before somewhere, I think (not that I'm expecting you to remember my medical history!)
I had a fundoplication but mine is complex as my swallowing function is so shit (contrary to popular belief) and so it was a partial fundoplication which they wanted to do to check whether or not my swallowing function got better. It did, but the fundoplication failed fairly early on. I kept going back to be told "just wait, it will get better" and then eventually they did tests and realised it had failed. Took three years to get to that point, offered a slot for an op last year in May, just before I went away to work at the Club World Cup, took until January for them to try and book another date, which they then rescinded when they found out I needed appendix stuff doing, and now I guess it won't be done til I get back from the World Cup in July, though presumably now way later again.
Apparently my swallowing function is currently not good enough for Linx because the motility of my oesophagus won't push things past it.
