Louise - Confession (single) + Confessions (TOP TEN ALBUM!)

Back in the top 30 (on the Record Store charts) on the back of the RSD Turquoise Vinyl release. :disco:

She appears to have outsold SEB, which I’m taking as a minor gay victory for her.
 
Tour announcement being heavily signposted for next week on her socials.

It’s being marketed as a Confessions tour so I assume a re-release must be on the cards, given she’s also been in the studio.
 
The One Show just keeps bringing it with the star power :disco: I'll be tuning in. Shame we arent getting an acoustic perf too for this bleak beige Tuesday!

Cadogan Hall is a great venue but pretty tiny. I saw a choir there last year.

I think she could build up to ten dates but I guess she is seeing how it goes. There are quite a few 'No scotland! Come to Scotland!' comments so far.

I mean it is happening a cool 23 months after the original album release…

Still hoping there’ll be another album or reissue forthcoming. I imagine she’ll be staggering any major announcements though.
 
Yes, I’d say calling that a tour (so far) is a a push, I was going to say stretch but remembered that’s a song of hers, but I understand the caution.

I’d definitely go and see her if she was playing somewhere not too far from where I live, I doubt I’d go to a big effort but I hope it goes well for her. I’ve been warming to her more and more over the years.
 
I’m tempted, but I only saw her in October and am seeing her in July in Margate, so think I’ll miss it. Hopefully it sells well for her and she can add a few more dates.
 
Got some very decent seats for Manchester, rather pleased.

I am! Last time I did Hoopla I did a news song, and this year, when I was in the studio with Jon, he was like, “Are we going to do a new song for Hoopla?” It’s a really good bop, everyone’s going to love it. Lyrically it’s very strong, I can’t wait. Me and Jon have such a great partnership, and Miranda Cooper wrote this new one. It’s very feel good, but also quite ballsy.

What is it you now feel ready to say as an artist?​

I’ve got into a place of not being scared to show any vulnerability, that life isn't always perfect. For a long time I was very nervous about that ever being seen. It’s having the ability to be vulnerable and honest, but from a positive. I think I definitely showed that on Confessions, and that's just going to carry on coming through on the next album.

I hope so. That's my plan. I mean, I've been in the studio and we've done a few songs. I've still got a long way to go, but I’m really enjoying songwriting and being on that creative level.

Honestly, as much as the bar wasn't massively high, I'm so proud of her for coming back with the best two albums of her career at this point.

But yes, the Woman In Me 30th Anniversary Arena Tour is going to be LIT. :disco:

But all are rather good. Very much one woman Atomic Kitten but far better voice and tunes that her crap streaming would indicate.

I know it’s appalling but Arms Around The World and Let’s Go Round Again are still two of my favourite tunes ever. Mixture of coming of age and not having full access to them (where I was living and lack of internet at the time so having to buy TOTP cassettes to get them!) has cemented them to me as classics :disco:
 
I've just got into a fight with AI asking if Louise has ever spoken about Shut Up & Kiss Me where I was given an answer that she had, then when I asked for a direct quote the answer eventually came to be a no. I can't go on like this..

Confessions is one of those gay pop music albums with minimal to no skips.
