1. Four Seasons of Love is INCREDIBLE- from the artwork to the seasons theme to the fucking CHOONS.

FEVER!

2. Another Place and Time I found patchy at the time but it's really grown on me, and there's no denying the three big singles are all just incredible.
 
3. A Journey Through SAW is absolutely fucking brilliant. I loved every second of it- the bonus material is worth subscribing to too. Although I admit I haven't gotten through that yet and am still subscribing :D

Four Seasons Of Love was a JOURNEY. To think I'd dismissed OUR DONNA as a singles only artist before this. Also she's kinda perfect for this weather as so many of these songs seem DRENCHED IN HEAT.

Now onto the familar charms of Another Place & Time. My Dad brought home 2 (pirated) cassettes from work in 1989 - this & Like A Prayer. They've soundtracked my ENTIRE LIFE - thanks Dodgy Dennis from Ford's Halewood :D

The middle eight into 'WHAT DID I KNOOOOWWWWOAH' is such a glorious musical moment.

Preferably the album version though, the other mixes over egg the pudding and manage to squander the drama.

Now on with I Remember Yesterday, that's all the top 6 listened to this week Shee!

I Feel Love alone makes this legendary. The entirety of dance music for decades to come invented in one song & it STILL manages to sound like the future at almost 50 years old. Donna & Giorgio Moroder don't get anywhere near the credit they should for how much they've influenced music.

Yes it did. Supernatural Love was a minor hit- and is great- but Oh Billy Please is where it’s at for me :disco:
 
It was the last of her 70s/80s output I got…and I was surprised how much I liked it.
 
I even like the remix version of Oh Billy Please they did for the deluxe. It’s great. A lost camp classic.
 
Maybe this album is a grower. Not terrible, but felt quite meh after the highs of all the DISCO CONCEPTS & some of SAW's best work. Eyes & Maybe It's Over both decent.

I think that’s a fair assessment next to the absolute glory years, but it’s my favourite of the 80s output bar Another Place and Time for sure.
 
I mean I usually avoid adverts like the PLAGUE but I'm just trying to fix the TV SETUP and did I just hear I FEEL LOVE being used to flog DYLON

Shame on EVERYONE INVOLVED

Halfway through & this is decent - well you can't go wrong with the ORGASMIC STRAINS of the title track taking up half the album length. Just disappointing that I'm not listening to the whole thing at Studio 54 in the late 70s sniffing a line of coke off some hairy stud's 9 inch cock while simultaneously getting teabagged :(

22 episodes in to this now, just finished the Respectable episode. Kim Appleby is just lovely & tells a great anecdote, all the background from Mike Stock, Harding & Curnow too - yes this is excellent stuff. I also wouldn't mess with Princess :D

As for OUR DONNA, taking a break before going for the lesser half of the discography.
 
TIL that our Don turned down ‘(I’ve had) The time of my life’ because she didn’t like the title.
