Its a shame I don't care for the original film because a Lena Dunham x CRJ collaboration should be CATNIP to me.

After All is bit more listenable and could be a grower.
Don’t Leave Me on the Dance Floor is amazing! Finally something to get excited over!
 
It appears that I have already heard Motivation! I have no idea where though. I already liked it.
 
I am still absorbing it all but Burning Heart's thundering chorus and sax solo is just too much :disco:

And then following it up with the gorgeous, stripped back Wild Child. Truly a woman of multitudes.

Oh and Amalfi Coast is DELICIOUS
 
Glad to see SOME people are still insisting on liking Bass Persuades while I'm alone enjoying this. What a genuinely DELIGHTFUL album. After All, Burning Heart, Versailles, and Something Tragic are all 10s and among her best songs ever and I still have to rinse the second part a bit more.
 
The tempo shift from verse to chorus did throw me on first listen but I am into it now:



Burning Heart really should have been a single though.

Album not even in the UK top 40 midweek :(
 
There is a lot to wade through on this album. Which tracks are the gateway drug, girls?
 
I had my first quick listen the other day and there is a lot to enjoy here. More than I expected.

I haven't started with this yet at all and don't know where to jump off from. someone tell me a song as good as Anxious, Bends or Psychedelic Switch PLEASE
 
I honestly thought I would only like tracks from side 1 as the poppy dance singles haven’t done anything for me really. But I do like quite a bit of side 2. There’s not a massively stark difference between the two sides to be honest, yes on average there’s more uptempo on side 2 but it’s all very cohesive

The two singles are not at all typical of most of the rest of Night, it is a lot more vibey. Near or Far is such a mood

The melancholy was... stinging

I do love Hold Me to the Light as well. She sings soft and light a lot on this album, but when she hits that gorgeous chorus with her pop voice it just hits.
 
girl anyone gay famous can play MSG these days. all the sloppy bottoms and the muscle Marys and the Fire Island ozempic zaddies will turn out. Demi Lovato did it!!
