As lovely as a bin getting 10k votes is

Clearly Clacton still needs to be SAWN OFF from Britain and cast off into the North Sea. Could we sell it to Sealand?

Clacton isn't entirely awful. I've never felt unsafe there, they're mostly just FAT. I mean REALLY BIG.

The constituency includes Frinton which is lovely and very middle class. Never needed gentrification, it was born that way.

Jaywick doesn't need extra commentary at this point in history.

The politics are obviously revolting, but it's hardly a one-off in this climate.

Yikes - Holborn and St Pancras. This could be interesting.

No longer an MP:

Labour expected to select their candidate by Wednesday next week.

The head of the local council is likely to run for Labour.

She came to the UK as a child escaping a civil war and the right is being EXTREMELY NORMAL about that.

A challenger approaches!

"We don’t need another MP who arrives during an election campaign, puts out a few leaflets, makes a few promises and disappears once the votes are counted. We need an MP who is present, accessible and visibly part of the community all year round.

I am asking Green party members for the opportunity to represent your home truly and properly. I’m not asking you to vote for a politician you’ll only see on a leaflet. I’m asking you to choose someone who is already here."

It feels a lot for someone who basically lives in the constituency next door over anyway.
