Oh now I get the thread title. I really do rely on the daily thread to know what day it is.

I know I slept in a bit this mornings but what on EARTH has happened in here?

Drove all the way for a McD's brekky this morning, examined the bag to make sure both of my bacon and egg muffins had a no cheese sticker on, they did, so I drove home. Opened both muffins in the kitchen to discover that the burger-builder must be illiterate because both had cheese on. Drove all the way back to McD's, plonked both muffins on the counter and asked the manager "spot the deliberate mistake", he looked at both of them and then back at me and I said "now look at the stickers on the bottom", he turned the wrappers over and saw the no cheese stickers, apologised then disappeared into the office and returned with another manager who also inspected both muffins, raised both arms in the air, then walked off. As it was now 11.10am I was given the choice of whatever I wanted from the daytime menu and they refunded all four meals even though Mr F had kept his two and both of my hash browns and I also get two free muffin meals next time I go for breakfast. As I was leaving I could hear a woman's voice ripping somebody called Kyle a new arsehole.

I didn't get all het up about the lack of McD's breakfast (uncharacteristically for me), I took it in my stride and enjoyed my hamburger replacements and didn't make a big fuss in the shop about it either. I've just got back from walking the dog to discover my tea cup, my only tea cup, the most special tea cup in all of the world, in many pieces strewn about the kitchen floor accompanied by sugar and a tea bag.

It's tipped me over the edge. I'm trying not to cry but not succeeding.

The loss of a favourite cup is quite devastating. A brew just doesn’t taste the same in anything else.

I feel sad for you @Floppet. I used to have a favourite pint mug glass. I was really stoned and went to put it on a bench that wasn't there.

It's my giant Tigger cup that makes for the perfect pint of tea. Years ago I had Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore versions of it, both of which broke over time so I then had to deal with not-as-delicious brews from a succession of similar cups that were never quite right. Then spawn dumped her fiance and moved in with this one and he had the Tigger cup in the back of a cupboard so he gave it to me. Mr F has now supplied a cup of tea in one of the old similar cups from the back of the cupboard. It's still not quite right.

I've just gone online to see if I can find another one and they're apparently now a collector's item and I'm not paying 15 sodding quid for a 2nd hand cup!

Considering hitting the vodka and weed and taking to my bed for the rest of today.

My mate’s girlfriend has some giant Winnie the Pooh cups so I think I know the ones you mean. You need a big mug for your brew, I’ve never got on with the little piddly ones like you get in offices.

Oh noes :( I feel the same about my Kylie mug from the homecoming tour. I mean she had to fight cancer for me to have that mug. I guard it with my life.

Maybe it's no coincidence the mug broke today @Floppet :o I mean it's Stephen Gately's ded anniversary today, I reckon he was sitting up with the angles and wanted a nice mug for his hot chocolate today so he chose your mug. It's gone to a better place xoxo

fucking hell @Floppet you're having a ROUGH DAY

Mr F apologised for the fifth time about it so I said it's not his fault, it was an accident and I'm not mad at him about it. I'm not, it was an accident. But the McD's cheese incident, the heavy but quick rain-shower just enough to wet me through before stopping again on the dog walk and then arriving home to this is like the universe has decided to kick me when I'm already down.

But at least I haven't got Coronavirus, there's always somebody worse off and right now that person is sympathising with me crying about a broken cup! xxx

He'd better watch out when I eventually get up there, there will NEVER be forgiveness for that from me! He could've had the crappy Eeyore wrong-shaped one from the back of the cupboard.

I’ve just seen a WARRANT TO SEIZE GOODS addressed to my scum neighbour which has been thrown onto the floor in the stairwell OMG IT’S GOING TO BE LIKE CAN’T PAY? WE’LL TAKE IT AWAY

Which one of you girls works at the Loblaws on Danforth Ave in Toronto?

I shan’t hear these wicked words being said about My Max, who I’m convinced is a homosexualist

I consider Stewart to be one of the nicer ones. Paul and Steve are the nicest ones insofar as driving poor evicted families to the council office can be classed as nice.

Also, one of Paul or Steve did offer to look after someone’s DOG
