there are many amazing individual moments in this song. but overall it's all about how, even though she's "gonna take you there", the song never reaches climax. it's just sexy (twenty)foreplay. :disco:

lyrically she is serving SERIOUS attitude across this album. it's very much the soundtrack of somebody feeling full-fledged confidence in her sexuality for the first time on record. this bitch KNOWS HER WORTH.

You Want This sounds especially good today. Just brilliant. Like a fine wine, it's gotten better with time (Ramona remix.)
 
People forget TTWLG was actually a RISKY lead single back then. IF was the obvious lead, but going with something that laid back wasn't generally done then.
 
You Want This was released like 18 months into the campaign as the sixth single or something but still made US #8 and UK #14. it's fucking top tier janft.

that glockenspiel (?!) solo at the end, with her vocal harmonies adlibing on top - urrrrgh. amazing.
