Tonight I'm not rolling my eyes at 'Every Time' as much as I normally do. It's my Janft lockdown rediscovery along with 'The Body That Loves You'.

"Every Time" is very cheesy, but it works and adds balance to the album after "What About"

I hated that they farted it out as a Christmas single. Though I guess there wasn’t THAT much left on the album to mine...

it's fine, but this album has been firing on all cylinders so hard that it really doesn't need to abandon its soundscape for an autopilot ballad moment of whatever complete with awful key change.

It did feel a bit of a nod to "Rain" and I liked the color - but yeah could have done without the contacts.

I think I Get Lonely should come sooner in the tracklist, ie. just after Empty. I find the verses a bit meandering but obviously the chorus smacks so hard it keeps it all tied together.
