I have A LOT to say about what happened, but not for the daily thread. If anyone is interested (doubt it) it would be for the community forum but my rage is unreal. My son called him an old waster which was was quite funny and on point.

He was really rather wealthy but now things have DRIED UP. We split after many infidelities on his part which took place whilst I was pregnant with our youngest, and afterwards whilst he was “working”. His much younger partner has left him, and he is losing money hand over fist, and is in the absolute BLIND mentality that my settlement somehow still belongs to him. I really don’t know what is going through his stupid head or what is going on to be honest. We don’t need his maintenance money, and I would be more than happy for him to stop paying and still see the kids when he wants (they are old enough to decide if or when they want to see him) as long as he STOPS PESTERING ME.

No, he isn’t that stupid but he still thinks everything belongs to him in the sense of I would have nothing if it wasn’t for him which may well be the case, but I honestly never married him for his money. I got a decent settlement, and he has very little left. I don’t feel sorry for him, and it didn’t end amicably.

If you got a decent settlement, you deserved it. There's no question of 'I would have nothing if it wasn't for him' - rather you helped him achieve what he did!

I know you are right, and I have made savvy investments in property since but he just knows what buttons to press with me every single time but everything he has ever done has been his own fault. I don’t know what I ever saw in him although I am obviously thankful for the 2 children we had who aren’t really children any more.

My HANDSOME PRINCE is my only exception, and even he is starting to get TRAITS, although sticking up for his Mama today and calling him a waster melted my heart. I’ve honestly never known a man other than my father to have my back like that. 💚

Yes! I totally looked through the front window earlier. They're splitting the front room and adding a hallway.

The wall has always been paper thin, whoever lived there, but using drills late at night takes the absolute piss!

I've met the young woman who's moving in and seen children and about a million aunties flit in and out, so who knows?

She may be lovely but I'll be glad to be rid of that thin wall. I've never known anything like it.

It was quieter living in central Brighton.
 
Spoilers for Monday, it’s Monday already. I set my alarm for 8 :evil: because I wanted to take a trip somewhere to celebrate the end of the state of emergency but I feel so lazy
