Wow. That's huge. You've done so much for Moopy for so long and your contribution is legendary. Thank you. Please stick around.
 
And yes Wendy, I really hope standing down as mod doesn't mean standing down from moopy. You may not post much, but you've left a huge impression on this place for me and I'm sure most of us who have been around a long time.

I hope both Zen and Samuel will stand in the mod elections. We need more technical experience on the top table. My tech experience is nowhere near on their level so I’m standing down and won’t seek election for the next term, to the delight of @Ag and @Suomi.

It’s probably for the best anyway because it means I therefore can focus my time on my uni work and other things that don’t send my anxiety sky high.
 
Moderator elections coming up later tonight.

The rules for how many we have depends on how many applications we get - I'd like up to 8 if possible, but if we only get 7 applications and one of them is a Russian spambot, then it wouldn't be sensible to.
 
For mod you absolutely do not need to be good with computery stuff. If you can use moopy, you can learn how to merge/split/edit etc in seconds. It's a piece of piss.
 
The skills in being a mod are nothing to do with technical skills, as it's very easy to actually do any modding. The skills are in other areas such as recognising when to move, split, merge and rename threads.

@Indie it would be great to get some STATS on the current mod team to see just how much modding they actually did since the team took effect earlier this year.

What time are the elections starting. The flag parade is at 7 but shouldn’t take very long.

Stats there are a little misleading, because you could edit your own post a bunch of times and it'll log each one.

I will post some stats though, but we'll see who is running first - pointless to post stats for Wendy, for example.

I mean I don't think it matters really. Its not like everyone has written up their manifestos for immediate posting when the thread goes up

Well if we’re looking at actual accomplishments as a mod, I may need to fall back on a manifesto after all.
