Excellent news.

I do hope they keep Amanda and Mal a will they won't they situation.

I can see I'm OUT ON A LIMB with this but I thought it was nowhere near as good as Motherland

This is the second time I've seen Lucy Punch playing a trend-obsessed and slightly evil blonde woman. She's very good at it.

It wasn't as good, but still gave me an awful lot of pleasure. I do think Joanna Lumley would have helped sell it to a BBC1 audience, and she was developed quite cleverly compared to her character in Motherland.

I watched the first episode and it was decent but I massively missed Julia, Liz and Kevin.

Amanda is an amazing foil but she doesn't work as a lead character. That said it's only been 1 episode, I will of course keep going. It might get funnier as I get to know the new characters.

The R Kelly joke in the trailer was enough for me to be optimistic.

Oh good I love a Chrissy spesh, and we don’t get many good ones these days

I really enjoyed Motherland, but I just don’t think Lucy Punch’s character works as a lead at all.

I enjoyed it too, but it felt like Amanda was hardly in it at all…which was a strange decision.

There were a couple of funny moments in this for me but on the whole it felt flat (unfortunately). Maybe they needed more than 30 minutes to let things develop a bit more. Disappointing.

It did feel very short to me too…

…but in fairness, I didn’t have the attention span for longer yesterday.

I enjoyed it. I preferred Two Doors Down, as much the The Guardian didn't.

Same. Two Doors Down definitely had more funny moments.

I did enjoy this though. I imagine they wanted to make the most of Jennifer Saunders so it was quite heavy on her and Joanna Lumley.

Presumably the other (so far less essential) supporting characters will be back for the main series.

I loved it. Head and shoulders above Two Doors Down for me.

I laughed loads (big fan of the Mick Jagger stuff) and it was nice seeing Amanda happy. And I loved that Auntie Joan was grotesque but also really nice. As well as being a bang-on send up of posh eccentrics.

I thought it was a bit flat in that it lacked the laughs but I still found it enjoyable - Joanna and Jennifer brought the characterisation rather than the humour for once and so it worked in a different way. Anne got all the best bits. It was cute enough for a Chrimmy Spesh.

So I just watched Episode 1 from the series last night and bloody loved it. I had only seen a few of Motherland. So going to watch the first series before the christmas special which I have been seeing is getting rave reviews :disco:

Finished the series and the christmas special last night. Its so good. Will AUNT JOAN be more of a regular feature in series 2? I feel like she could make one appearance in the series, this time she comes to London.

Amanda from The Traitors!! That made me cackle looking at the above photo straight away. :D

Amanda Lamb COMEBACK. I'd been wondering where she got to

I watched the Christmas special again in the week. I'd love it if Jennifer Saunders could become a recurring character.

Only watched the first episode but a marked step up from series one (bar the finale episode, which was also great)

Loved the first episode, had a good chuckle throughout. I didn't realise the whole series is up already!

Was Della busy filming the traitors ireland when this was shot I wonder, phoning in her scenes for ep 1 anyway! :D
