I bet some of these were commissioned through a graphic designer though and just chucked into AI and £200 taken.
Like the huge uproar because there was some slop in Fortnite and everyone believed it had come direct from an Epic CEO. Nah someone who works on the game couldn’t be arsed to do their job imo
To sort of back this up, I had a kid of 9 at the school I was in last term confidently tell me that there was no need for him to go to school, because he's got ChatGPT to ask/do everything for him so he'd just use that instead. I despaired.

The one thing I really liked about the new popjustice logo for PopSquare was that it was so obviously designed by a human who knows the entire detail from end to end and how it all fits together. Gave it such a quality feel to it.Someone on LinkedIn (I think) actually did a proper summary of them. They're all done by local community groups with zero budget for things like fancy designers, so you can forgive Maureen for just jumping on ChatGPT and asking for a nice poster.
But the problem is when you're promoting something like this on Facebook, Instagram etc, and every villages fete has the same style design, people think they've seen it already and scroll past without reading.
At least when you're using Canva or even WordArt there is some human variation which catches the eye. When we live in a world of AI sameness no one pays attention to anything.
I do think this is something that will pass. I still believe in the concept of AI as a tool of advancement in the human race and even current LLMs can be useful when it comes to productivity. At some point the penny will drop with the masses and if a few years we'll look back at LLMcore as yet another weird blip in the history of humans being collectively thick as shit.
Show them THIS slopification and ask how anyone can remain sane in a world where everything looks the same and SHIT
I mean you say this like the homogenisation of everything in society hasn't been happening for a 100 years anyway.
Now excuse me whilst i go to Greggs and Costa Coffee.

The second phase was “digital colleagues” - they have an email address, teams chat etc

“Do you prefer I stay close and friendly to OpenAI to keep info flowing or begin to disassociate? Trust game is about to get tricky so any guidance on how to do right by you is appreciated,” Zilis texted Musk in 2018.
A 2023 text from Altman to Zilis suggests that he was seeking her advice on how to influence Musk – asking her: “BTW, good idea for me to tweet something nice about Elon?"
One of the documents that came up during Zilis’s testimony was a text exchange with her friend about this turn of events.
“E’s effort has become well known,” Zilis texted.
“Fuck,” the friend responded. “You ok.”
“When the father of your babies starts a competitive effort and will recruit out of openai there’s nothing to be done,” Zilis replied.

The resulting 16 novel viruses were created to infect bacteria and pose no threat to people.
