I think with Björk if you're much younger than me (and @Iguana likes to think he's MUCH younger than me ) you likely missed her golden years and got stuck in the period when everything was just NOISE.

She was very much a teenage/early twenties thing for me, but then I went right off her from Volta onwards to the point where I couldn't even really enjoy her old stuff any more. I've come back around on her recently though.

Once upon a time I'd have said Lana D-R, but then I heard Young & Beautiful ("all that grace, all that body / all that face, makes me wanna party") and... ugh.

But the question: I guess Fiona Apple has yet to click with me on anything I've heard so far.

Strange that Caro is the first mentioned. I feel she is on the cusp of something extraordinary. Island is so Sineadtastic to my ears I can hardly wait for what the future holds.
