AS5 E02: I’m in Love!

We’ve talked about it before, but for the above reason there should therefore be an ”Andra chansen” season where the queens that left early get the chance to compete against each other.
 
Isn’t All Stars always Andra Chansen though? Just different flavours of Rudemption

a second chance to not be shit
a second chance to not to a cunt
a second chance to win after you woz robbed mom
a second chance to do All Stars again because AS1 was shit and spunked away all the classic queens (and Mimi)
 
I did sort of enjoy the celebrity version, mainly as a conceit to bring back some good queens for a laugh. I wonder how good a Week 1 queens would actually be though, let alone the fact that two of them were brought back in the next season.
 
I frankly don't think I can bear the thought of having a dozen Serena Chachas competing in an acting challenge... :zombie:
 
There's definitely plenty of talent among the first/early outs, I'd love to see them back. Some of them are wonderfully talented queens who got a poor draw - a good example would be Jaymes Mansfield, who I really think could've made a big impact if she'd got to do a sewing challenge before leaving. And let's not forget that in early spoilers for season six Kelly Mantle was tipped to WIN the entire thing :D

I get this, and wouldn’t be mad at it either (Especially if pork chop got pork chopped again) .. but then one of them would be classed as a winner and that would be a bit of a shitter considering how many brilliant queens haven’t.

Anyway, I kind of agree with Cwej that the frequency of All Stars seasons is kind of stretching it, but I still get hyper excited when they begin, and am generally hanging onto everything they feed me until the best one is inevitably eliminated early and we're treated to a terrible acting challenge one episode before the finale.

And I'd be a lot more interested in seeing returns from early finishers like Jaymes Mansfield and Vivacious and AKASHIA than I would from finalists like Eureka and Kameron Michaels...
 
My ideal line up if All Stars 6 was airing now:

Yara Sofia
Pandora Boxx (I'm only choosing two AS1 finalists because that seems to be how they're spreading them out)
Peppermint
Asia O'Hara
The Vixen
Jaymes Mansfield
A'keria Davenport
Nina Flowers
Alexis Michelle
Willam in a shock return (or Laganja)

Then they can dip into Season 12 and have Nina Flowers and Tammie Brown for AS6. And British, Canadian and Thai queens from AS7 onwards.
 
OT: Who is Madison Beer?

I googled and she's billed as a singer but she doesn't even seem to have had a charting single. Is she famous in some other way to particularly justify her being on the show?

She was a complete nonentity anyway - did she even speak?
 
Got noticed singing Justin Bieber covers apparently. She's got some material online but her album was delayed due to the pandemic. She also took part in Celebrity Drag Race (where she was "a nightmare" according to Shannel) and my 14yo nephew and his friends all fancy her.

She’s got some fantastic singles under her belt - Dead, Home With You, Stained Glass are all stellar
 
This weeks Untucked with Mayhem and Alexis politely telling Cracker to her face that she’s a cunt, and everybody hates her is possibly the best Untucked scene I’ve seen since Aja went off at Valentina :D

Why is Mariah getting the invisible edit? She’s an ICON!

I've caught up with Drag race now it's on netflix.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Lip Sync Assassin. But Alyssa was underwhelming. She just didn't bring it, the way she absolutely would have if she was Lip Syncing For Her Life. Anyway, I'm always here for her on screen. What a Queen.

I gasped when Shea walked out. But it was a little ill fitting around the arms, which was distracting. I thought Mariah looked stunning, and was surprised to see her in the bottom.

And Alexis, I really was expecting her to be among the tops this week, she had the second best verse for me.
 
I stan Shea, and yes she was the rightful winner of S9 had it not been for Sasha's stuntery. I don't accept any other winner (cut to the finale, with Mz Cracker being crowned).

Don’t forget this is AS and it’s all about reality tv fuckery rather than talent. So yes, Cracker winning seems the likely outcome.
 
There’s no way Cracker’s going to win. And I’m sure JuJu will end up being a runner up which is her right place (as delightful as she is).

As if there isn't AS precedent for crowning a white queen who thinks she's way funnier than she is, over a more talented, versatile and accomplished Queen of Colour.

AS1: Chad
AS2: Alaska
AS3: Shangela, although Ben de la Creme should probably have been crowned for her first six episodes alone
AS4: Trinity
AS5: Shea, based on two episodes alone

I believe it does - remember the ludicrously janky edit of the AS4 winner announcement? They'd definitely filmed both Trinity and Monet winning individually.
