ASFSF: The FINAL @3:15pm

This really was one of the most entertaining ASFMs to date. Possibly even our ESC '99, right down to the hosts UPSTAGING the winner during their big moment. Love you Kimba x

Some tea:

* @Suedey attempted to enter a different Peaches song, the delightfully named "Pussy Mask", but I was so horrified by the video and song that I asked Suedey to enter another, with the very real additional reason that I didn't want people's playlists to stop working during the sync listen because of the parental advisory moment. When Suedey came back with "Free Drink Ticket" I was absolutely choked because it honestly is one of the worst four minutes I've heard in my life. But I accepted Suedey's artistic statement, his vision, his prowess, only to have my nightmare continue when...

* @Rhythmbarbican then attempting to enter another Peaches song. So having never heard any Peaches songs in my life before, my life was now like some never-ending Peaches concert. I was forced to impose a rule that the same artist can't be entered into the same competition, which is a bit bloody rich if you ask me seeing as I was allowed to pick another track from the Delta Goodrem back cat.

*I spent longer than is sane putting the running order together to try and allow all songs to shine. So imagine my horror when everything was announced to realise that @David 5000 - Eva - 100% No and @ZenGiraffe - Philipp Kirkorov - Mood Colour Blue - actually bore more than a slight resemblance to each other and were back to back. Both David 5K and ZenGiraffe are notorious Moopy divas, so I foresaw a big argument on the horizon. I asked @HerSereneHighnessAnniFrid whether I was being paranoid and she said they sounded nothing alike, only for her to then comment when watching the recap ahead of the show "gosh they're quite similar aren't they, can't you move one of them?" :eyes:

So you didn’t think you were gonna be top10? :hostage:

Oh I’ve dropped a place to 29. Even better.

At least my votes are now public. I can exclusively reveal Katy got my top marks for her two step dancing which I’ve been doing all around the house ever since. It’s also not a bad song. But it wore the dancing wot won it.

@Suomi bless you for putting me in your top 10. I'm sorry my song didn't come through for you. Maybe next year X

I feel your pain re: the running order. I had whole formulas and notes on videos, colours, BPMs, voices... Then realised on one of the nights I'd put two lyric videos side by side (one of which was my own). So frustrating.

If I was entering a Peaches song I'd probably have gone for this, which is very straightforward by her standards and an undeniable BOP:

There is a video, but it has annoying spoken word intro stuff so pfft.

I enjoyed that album a lot.

HOT STAT ALERT

Despite Suomi's lack of belief, the 126 points gap between the winner and 2nd place is the biggest in ASFM history, breaking the previous record of 113 points between Kano and Italove from ASFM: A Beryl-ation.
