BLONDIE Sync Listen - Plastic Letters & Parallel Lines (Wed 18/11, 8:30 pm)

"Bermuda" goes from chaotic to calm and sultry quite seamlessly.

Youth Nabbed As Sniper is PROPER Blondie. Sweet vocals with an underlying layer of THREAT.

I would like to KILL for love
But I don't know HOW

What is it with that bizarre intro for "Contact in Red Square" :D Too lazy for an edit?

I'm very much enjoying the drama of Contact In Red Square.

Contact In Red Square would be one of my favourites if the rest wasn't SO DAMNED GOOD. I like the clever switch from the Russians to the Americans being after her.

I.C.B.M. Bang! Bang! You're dead! :disco:

I've given 5 straight songs a 7 so I think I'm not really in the mood for this album tonight :D sorry @POP! I'll come back later this week with some thoughts.

better than @lolly mind you :eyes:

Considering the two singles from Plastic Letters were both 60s styled songs, I wonder how many people bought and subsequently returned the album?

IT'S REALLY NOT CHEATING!

So did they let Gary Valentine write "Presence, Dear" (one of the best songs on the album) and then KICK HIM OUT OF THE BAND? :D

I'm On E now annoys me because it was so badly shoehorned into Absolutely Fabulous

Have we heard Annie Lennox's rendition of "Presence Dear"?

I remember I Didn't Have The Nerve To Say No so well on vinyl that it still surprises me it doesn't have a big "click" just before the start, such was the condition of my older brother's vinyl.

'I Didn't Have The Nerve To Say No' is quite sixties sounding as well. It's nice that there's something else for the people who bought the album on the strength of the singles.

I like she just gives up even TRYING to form lyrics at the end

Originally pegged "I Didn't Have the Nerve to Say No" as least favorite but quite like it on re-listen. The bass is very nice.

Love At The Pier drags a bit in the middle- and it shows as it's only just over 2 minutes long but feels much longer
