"Love at the Pier" is divine especially when it slows down near the final chorus.

The verses of No Imagination are so much better than the chorus

Considering the brevity of the tracks I feel like I'm wading through treacle an awful lot.

"No Imagination" is my least favorite so far - I usually skip it.

Kidnapper is so out of place it's ridiculous. It obviously rips off All Shook Up and is a pastiche of sorts, but just doesn't feel like it works at all.

"All is fair in love and war, so I don't want your love no more" is a cracking lyric.

Kidnapper sounds like it was recorded and produced during much earlier sessions.

"Kidnapper" does sound out of place, might have fit better on the debut.

Wikipedia suggests that Kidnapper was a single in Japan. Who thought that was a good idea?

Detroit 442 remains in my all time top ten Blondie tracks. It's just relentless.

Kind of like how "I'm Gonna Love You Too" was the lead single in Europe(?) for Parallel Lines despite the wealth of riches from the same album. But more on that later..

I hated Cautious Lip as a child. I thought it was tedious. Time has changed my opinion, but I still think it doesn't fit with the rest and would have been best kept as a b-side

It was Picture This in most places, wasn't it?

Are people doing the bonus tracks? I'm going to leave it here as I found all that rather hard work.

With the length of these songs, I think I'm spending more time on adverts than on music.

Wasn't I'm Gonna Love You Too the US lead single too? It doesn't even have a video!

Very much 3* overall.

Parallel Lines at 9:10 ... those interested in the bonus tracks can re-visit at the end if they wish.

"Cautious Lip" has potential to be a moody "Fade Away & Radiate" esque moment but doesn't really ever live up to anything really.

Cautious Lip feels like it belongs on a whole different album.

As much as I love it, I'm not convinced I can be bothered with Parallel Lines tonight

I definitely gained some appreciation for some of the songs from that listen, particularly that one two punch of I Didn’t Have The Nerve.. and Love At The Pier, but still doesn’t DO IT for me.
