I think I can see why Frank Infante wasn't asked to write very many songs for them. Definitely the weak link on the album for me.

"I Know But I Don't Know" is a bit fillerish. Is the only time they let Frank have a writing credit?

Apparently when they reformed in the late 90s without him, he sued the other members, but lost the case.

He sued them during Autoamerican too, and they let him stay on to tour :D

"Will Anything Happen" is the most slept on track of the album to me.

WILLL IIIIIIIIIIIII SEE YOU AGAIN? :disco:

For some reason my Spotify labels the English version of "Sunday Girl" as the French Version:greta:

Sunday Girl is always great, but the version with one verse in French on the Greatest Hits album is pure genius.

For some reason, they never released this in the US, presumably because "One Way or Another" was released here instead. Missed opportunity for another #1, I think.

Heart Of Glass is Mr L's favourite song of all time not to feature Agnetha or Frida

(:goodgrief:)

"In BETWEEN, what I find is pleasing and I'm feeling FINE..." is one of my favorite pop melodies ever.

I'll tell you what though, I love the way Miley Cyrus holds LOVE'S GOOOOOOOONE BEHIND

There's room for both versions, I think. Although I agree with you (or whomever said it) that "Picture This" would be the perfect song for her to cover.

"I'm Gonna Love You Too" is a bit too ROCKABILLY for me, but it's cute.

I actually really enjoy 'I'm Gonna Love You Too', but then I also like Buddy Holly's music in general.

"Just Go Away" is credited to Debbie alone, we usually get one of those per album.

Love the chorus of "Just Go Away" and male backing vox

GO AWAY
AND STAY AWAY!

And THAT'S not only a 5* album, but one of the very finest of all time.

I'd rank the first six albums like this:

1. Eat to the Beat
2. Autoamerican
3. Parallel Lines
*pretty considerable gap*
4. The Hunter :shy:
5. Blondie
6. Plastic Letters

I'd say No Exit would fall somewhere between 3 and 4 and Pollinator wouldn't be far behind. The rest are below #6.

Parallel Lines
Eat To The Beat
Autoamerican
Blondie
Plastic Letters
The Hunter

I've not listened to The Hunter (or Blondie) in YEARS, though. And prior to last week I'd have probably ranked Autoamerican 4th, whereas now it's challenging for 2nd.
