I imagine a lot of people would feel uneasy slathering their chicken burgers in ordinary honey.
 
Yeah like fried chicken works with hot honey as does pizza, but it has limited use cases and doesn't warrant 39834290342 brands on a supermarket shelf.

Also a lot of hot sauces have extraneous ingredients in them like onion and garlic - combing that with honey might not work for a lot of people.

In fact to be honest the whole concept of a chicken burger is NOT MY VIBE but that's for another thread.

Honey is commonly used in savoury dishes. It's hardly a new thing.

I'd say more salted caramel. In that people seem to have forgotten that unsalted caramel exists.

That’s another one! I was trying to think of more, there’s loads but my 7am mind is foggy. Smashed “avo” (shudder) is another.
 
The only acceptable sweetness with sushi is, of course, sushi PICKLE or UNAGI sauce

So I was always very much a NICE THICK juicy kind of burger person.

BUT a 2 x smash burger option does get more of that sweet sweet malliard reaction shit on the outside. Which is as much as a dopamine trigger as 4 pints and a bump (plus second hand smoke)

I have no problem with the actual thing- they’re lovely. But they’re fucking EVERYWHERE.
 
I noticed today when I was perusing UberEats (and ordering a) McDonalds the McMuffins could feature an exciting hot honey option. Almost tempted but you don’t want to risk it with a McMuffin do you.

But call me when they’re putting peanut butter on those bad boys.
