I spoke to my parents just now and they finally seem to have fully embraced that Self-Isolation Life. My mother has made three weeks worth of gołąbki (Polish cabbage rolls) and frozen them, "just in case". That post-war refugee child mentality kicking in. But thankfully, in a way that feels classier than stockpiling bog roll from Tesco.

Sweden’s response is very against the grain. Are all shops still open?

Most of them seem to be open, but some with shorter periods than usual.

There's long been rumours of him having a serious medical condition and due to have major surgery. Not sure what for.

Mind you we kept getting promised that Farage was ON THE BRINK OF DEATH and still he RIBBITS ON. Please let him get it too.

That picture of him emerging ALIVE from his plane crash haunts me to this very day.

Yay Dom Cum :disco: If I could choose ONE to plop dead, it would definitely be him. Imagine blustering Boris without his evil mastermind lurking in the shadows behind :disco:

Related: Boris seems to be more popular than EVER on account of corona. Outside a small group of intelligent people on the internet, most seem to think he is knocking out it the park :bruised:

I’ve also started to see BRAINLESS GAYS on social media start to claim that coronavirus is all a HUGE SCAM and is completely fake :manson:

One of my best friends is an NHS nurse with SEVERE ASTHMA. Can confirm it is 100% NOT FAKE AT ALL, and they are currently absolutely terrified to wake up/go to work every day, particularly when seeing young patients on the c-19 wards.

It's mind blowing. It's like most the 30 million who watched his adequate speech the other week, were so pleased they'd watched something political, they felt suddenly free to express what an amazing hero he is in the face of overwhelming evidence to contary. Agog. Actually 100% agog.

Prince Charles out of isolation apparently.

Also, Next have now stopped doing home delivery as well and have closed their warehouses. This appears to have been under pressure from the staff.

If the papers would report that people are literally dying because of Johnson’s dithering, we might actually change the headline. As it is, he’s poor brave Boz battling through a deadly virus to serve the country.

I still believe that Brexit can no longer happen in the form he wants it to, and THAT will be what finishes him off.

I think people need to stop living in cloud cuckoo land. Boris will be PM for many years; his incompetence is masked for many by what Louis Walsh famously called "the likeability factor". Brexit will happen on the hardest of terms. Coronavirus is a blessing for the No Dealers - the economy is already completely wrecked, so any collateral damage can easily be explained away under the banner of "it wasn't Brexit; it was the global pandemic that sent the world into economic meltdown 9 months earlier."

So much THIS. The best we can hope for is EVERYBODY BEING IN THE SAME BOAT when the economic flop inevitably comes. Corona has handed excuses to the Tories for the next decade in power at least.

WHERE EVEN ARE LABOUR! It’s hard for the average person in the street to be able to judge if Boris is going a good job or not on account of the entire party living under some sort of INVISIBILITY CLOAK (aside from of course queen Dawn Butler’s instagram account :disco: )

Labour's leadership battle is still SIMMERING AWAY isn't it? They're utterly tragic.

The fact that the UK can repeatedly refuse collaboration with the EU on ventilators, in spite of its underfunded and under-resourced NHS, without it even so much as raising an eyebrow in between all the toilet-paper hoarding just shows how far gone the general public is.

In other news, that temp hospital in the ExCel centre is a mix of impressive and super sinister.

And yet in America you really don't think it's time Bernie accepted the inevitable to avoid the exact same thing happening over there?

Do I think Bernie should concede to somebody who clearly has rapidly advancing dementia, when staying in the race with this virus taking hold advances his agenda on healthcare? The Dems aren't getting in anyway, not with Biden as the nominee and not with coronavirus holding the world hostage. Bernie staying in or dropping out has never mattered less. Once again, you keep trying to equate US politics to Labour in the UK which just isn't a relevant parallel. Try harder hun.

Netanyahu QUARANTINED. please let him be hit by the corona karma train too

Yeah on the one hand its good to see us doing a China and being (hopefully) ahead of the curve, but on the other hand its mind boggling how traumatic that place will be like as its full of people coughing and spluttering to DEATH.

I fear I am becoming a bit desensitized to it all. We've fallen into a nice rhythm of home life, we're all happy, Ron Jr is learning, Ms Ron is getting paid to be a housewive/primary educator (I do maths and science, she does the rest) and we're finding lots of time to do things at home that make us happy.

I'm skipping all the Coronavirus headlines when I read the news in the morning and I've stopped watching/caring about the daily briefings. I can't decide if this is me being pragmatic about something beyond my control or my subconscious doing its best ostrich impression.

Weird that deaths are decreasing the last couple of days. Surely that's just some anomaly :(
