Priti Patel to host today's press briefin'
I’ve just booked a home test. Had a light cough for a couple of days and it seems like it’s just due to the dry air and being stuck inside, but woke up with a bit of a headache and achy joint. Flatmate at the same time has lot last sense of taste/smell so that’s pretty much that. Not a clue where we would have picked it up from other than food shopping.
Supermarkets now saying people will not be allowed in without a mask unless medically exempt.
1) Weren't they fucking doing that ALREADY?
2) How are they going to check whether someone is genuinely exempt?

I presume they’ll ask for a doctors note or something? But I’d have thought that not every exempt person would have one?

I’m watching the DAILY BRIEFING for the first time in a while and WHY are all the public questions the exact same question![]()

Was just BBC News I think. What channel was it on?![]()
Worryingly I’ve just seen an article that a nurse tested positive for covid a day after he was supposed to get his second vaccination (which they cancelled)
now obviously he could be in that 5% where the vaccination just wouldn’t work for him anyway but I really feel if more of these stories emerged then it will undermine the whole principle behind getting a vaccination in the first place
Is that particularly worrying? A vaccination surely doesn't immediately destroy the entirety of the virus if infected, does it?
What condition would actually stop someone from wearing a mask? I don’t think I know anyone who is legitimately unable to, for the time in a store at least
I think it IS worrying in that it undermines the message, and if more stories emerge it won't do a hell of a lot to convince the significant part of the population who are sceptical of the vaccine in the first place
They are now talking of stopping Click & Collect and TAKEAWAYS in Scotland.
Yet she only shops at 9pm, and only twice a month, and fully disinfects her trolley each time in case she gets it and moans at people not in masks. Where do you even begin there?I think they'd still allow delivery of takeaways, they just want to stop people going to the restaurant itself.
Thank the LORD. My cleaner is already on FURLOUGH. I don’t want to be locked to the cooker for the rest of lockdown.
WHAT THE FUCK ELSE HAVE YOU GOT TO DO?
