Conference in Barcelona I was going to forced to cancel by govt. Still going to Barcelona.

"456" in the UK. Frankly I don't believe it. They are still only doing about 1000 tests a day.

I saw a thing saying that the NHS are "ready" to do 10000 tests per day. That wouldn't touch the sides in countries where it has really taken off.

Yaass we’re back in the game.

But they’re about to ban gatherings of 500+ so we might fall down the top list.

My office has finally woken up to this. We are all going to WORK AT HOME on Friday afternoon to see if the COMPUTER NETWORK EXPLODES :D

We're actually banned from working at home at the moment, contrary to all sensible advice. So we're crammed in the office like sardines. That'll go well.

Oh I hope they don’t cancel my Laura Marling concert next month

We've just had flexible working hours introduced so that we can avoid rush hour commuting, but are still being encouraged to come in. Can't really see how it'll help all that much.

Got a bit of a headache so just double dropped some zinc, had two tangerines and a glass of tropicana.

#stayblessed

America has 75,000 tests available for the ENITRE COUNTRY.

They're really FUCKING THIS aren't they?

According to Wikipedia, HIV/AIDS is still a current pandemic, and the last one was the 2009 swine flu pandemic.

I always forget Swine Flu happened. I feel there was less wild panic with that one.

Honestly getting a bit worried about this now after all the hand-waving

Not for myself, but for the fact I live with my mid-60s parents. I know it's not quite the death risk of 80+ but still, I'd feel like shit if I was a carrier and infected them and they ended up in hospital or something. Always said "what's the harm in living with your parents, long as you have a job and pay your share" (I don't subscribe to societal norms much), now that I have the answer I'm like that Geralt meme: "....fuck."

Got a GP appointment next week to find out why my gut has felt like it's "crowded" for the past few months (anything from IBS to "ascites caused by liver cirrhosis" to colon cancer according to Dr Google, and admittedly there's family history in that last one so I'd rather know sooner rather than later if it's that). Tempted to sack it off though - seems like an unwise place to be visiting in the midst of an exploding pandemic.

The thing is though (because I’ve heard the same concerns from a friend of mine)... they could just as easily get it in the Lidl
