I went to SIX supermarkets today and NO TOILET ROLL ANYWHERE! Pass me a cabbage leaf would you @octophone

Also, no pasta at all in Tesco Bethnal Green but that dump always seems to be celebrating some Soviet anniversary or another

I ended up just going into Turkish corner shops which actually had a good supply or loo roll and hand soap...the big name brand stores had nowt

I find impossible not touching my face at all even if I try not to.

I'm the same. The number of times I've caught myself doing it the last few days, who knows how many times I do it without realising it.

Now bigger than Brexit Night. Only the 2010 election and Brexit Negotiations to go. The former will likely be beaten today or tomorrow. The latter is almost double the size of this, but at the current pace will be beaten by May or sooner.

as they say in Contagion (which is right about everything else so far) we touch our face 2,000-3,000 times A DAY

Can we add I AM QUIETLY HYSTERICAL to the poll options?

I might click that. one company cannot deliver groceries till Thursday, the other doesn't deliver in this part of the country. it'll be a 10km trek to the nearest store tomorrow. the shelves better be fucking BRIMMING

i don't think numbers from the uk or the usa matter at this point. it's like they've all but given up testing/tracking.

Is this why we aren’t getting numbers today? It’s even WORSE than I thought.

and WHAT will beat corona in a few years? I dread to think

a few things i've noticed in myself/started doing in the last couple of weeks:

- realised i'd been social distancing for a long time now
- become more social
- started smoking again
- drinking a lot
- spent an obsessive amount of time online
- heard my parents 300% more weekly
- talked to a lot of old friends i don't really hear from anymore
- washed a whole fucking lot of hands and dishes
- started wearing nice clothes at home
- really enjoying music again
- stopped watching anything meaningful in terms of tv
- working on anything over the baseline of being able to call myself employed
- been astonished how fucked up the entire system is

i just received an email from my domain company that they are handling the situation. i wish i was too! :D

I hope that everyone’s rushed out today to buy themselves a new bra, given that non-essential shops will be closed forever by this time next week. We’ll be having that ONLINE MOOPYVISION 2020 PARTY WITH PRETEND SATELLITE LINK-UPS on 16 May hosted by @VoR - threatening to confiscate his minty stash should be enough to convince him to whip out his hostess skirt and blouse - and we’re not having you slags turning up in your grey, lactatey rags

I have (kinda) started quarantine testing today- well, we decided to have a DAY IN. I'm already BORED and wandering about OPENING CUPBOARDS for no reason.

Trump is really doing everything he can to out-cunt himself. German media are reporting he is offering up to $1 billion to a German pharmaceutical company researching a vaccine, so that no one except the US gets exclusive access to it.

Given that a vaccine is likely to be months off, maybe sort out the TESTING issue first.
