I love a bare croissant.

I'm also quite fond of an almond croissant from la boulangerie de Sainsbury's Local.

I'm gonna make croissants this weekend, I can't resist it after this hot chat.

Oh they are INFURIATING! Out of three attempt only the second went well. All those layers. Pain au chocolat has tended to go better for me, god knows why as it’s the same pastry :D

I made them twice, once 3 years ago, and they were perfect, and then a few weeks ago in lockdown, it didn't go that well. I'll be back to the original recipe this time. It takes ALL DAY to make them properly, as they have to go in and out of the fridge a few times, but it's worth it. Well not really because you only get like 15 of them, but whatever.

I can cope with that though as it’s just lots of small amounts of time spent on each step. I’m SO SHIT at the actual cutting and rolling bit, I use a ruler and still fuck t up. The size range is always ridiculous. :D

Interesting way to frame this... Never any breaking news about the UK having the highest death toll in Europe however.

DUB TECHNO DARLING

Anyway it seems to have stopped now, disappointingly. I was hoping for some Alma Cogan :(

That awkward moment when the slogan designed to keep people at home so they survive a deadly epidemic is too effective.

Didn't some Tory grandee who hasn't worked a day in his life say the other day that people were eager to stay at home "a little too much"?

COME ON PLEBS, get on that public transport to our factories, YOU need to get OUR economy going!

Yes we’re ADDICTED to furlough, because I love being trapped in my flat with zero social life.

People already are rushing out. We are a nation of petulant children with an incredibly light touch police system. There's no stopping it, frankly.

Ugh. I really wish we could have a UNIVERSAL slogan. Nicola Sturgeon is still keeping the Stay at home message in Scotland but it is going to cause confusion if people are watching a different message from Boris tonight.

Why do we need a slogan at all? Are we a nation of imbeciles that need talking down to?

I mean we clearly are (conga anyone?) but STILL.

What, precisely, are we meant to stay alert for? What about a viral pandemic can be improved by keeping your wits about you other than spotting that the local supermarket has had a delivery of flour?

It's also fucking abusive to people who already have anxiety-related conditions. How much more alert do you think I can be on a day-to-day basis, you absolute bastards?

What are we expecting from the Boris announcement tonight? I am expecting VERY LITTLE which begs the question why has he waited until Sunday evening?

Stay alert of something that’s airborne and invisible to my naked eye :what:

think I’ll just stay inside
