Maybe sniffer dogs can smell out the students.

So 6634 today and 40 deaths. Still unfortunately seeing a 7 day doubling time for deaths so those too are exponential. I've just been reminded that we had 22 deaths on the day we went into lockdown (16th March), so that's... a bit concerning. They did go up a LOT more rapidly than doubling every 7 days back in March though.

We went into lockdown on 23rd March, but admittedly a lot stricter restrictions were introduced a week earlier

Here are some helpful diet tips from your resident expert nutritionist to help @Dark Carnival on his ROUTE À LARD

CHAQUE JOUR

Petit déjeuner : Religieuse x 6. Café x 3 (always helps with the nerves and regular ablutions, I find :disco:)
Déjeuner : Pain. Époisses de Bourgogne. As much as you like. It’s all about the FROMAGE et PONG :disco:
Dîner : Steak frites. Fromage for afters
Casse-croûte : Lindt

And lots of VIN ET CHAMPAGNE OBV :disco:

Don't forget the MARGE

We will allow 10 minutes of squats a day as long as they’re on my face and you eat an eclair every 5 repetitions.

10 MINUTES? Not on the diet plan I’m afraid. 10 repetitions with an eclair after each repetition perhaps. We don’t want him burning off those must-have calories :horny:

I can get on board with that actually :D You just went a TAD too far with the époisses every day, let's just replace that with an easier to stomach comté :disco:

Tisch is the type of person that buys croissants in a can. :zombie:

:D All round to Tiguana’s for the very finest Jus-Rol! :tongueout:

Mmm... MORE PLEASE MAMAN!

(I have obviously tried those. We had them with cheese and hot dogs for some unfathomable reason. Quite a classy do. I suppose they might appeal to a more simple palate but, well, you know me and my SAVOR-VIVRÉ :disco:)

During early lockdown we had a "bubble" that was just me, my housemate and one friend. But then that friend started seeing other people sometimes too. And we were like "oh but his bubble is just him and her"... but the "her" was a nurse at the hospital :eyes: it didn't take long to conclude that the bubbles were a load of BS and we were just using the idea to make ourselves feel better about socialising.

during early lockdown no-one was supposed to have bubbles AT ALL except the people they lived with. That was the whole point of a full lockdown. I didn't see a single friend or family member for over 2 months.

Yep. I'm a bit of a sceptic of it, and think I'd use it more as a tool to help indicate whether I need to isolate than taking any notification as gospel (I think it gives a time and location so you could easily work out if you were dicing with Death in the pub at the time and should isolate, or minding your own business out in a field somewhere and happened to have a good bluetooth signal with someone and can assume it was a false positive). But keeping an open mind.

I went on it earlier just out of interest... it says 'do you have a cough, a fever or loss of smell/taste?' I said 'No'. It said 'We do not recommend a COVID test for you at this time' And then took me back to the front page.

Is that IT??!?!? I was expecting BELLS and WHISTLES.

The thing that's just been launched is a phone app? It has bluetooth bells and whistles

Oh yes, I did follow the rules too. But I wasn’t on my lonesome until we started lifting restrictions. That must have been incredibly tough.

I don't think a "bit of" a cough is anything to worry about is it? I seem to have had just this little nagging one over the past couple of weeks - nothing "persistent" or "continuous" though, more of a tickle that makes me want to do a quick 'cough-cough' now and again, and I could suppress it in situations like meetings.
Nothing else, no temperature, no loss of taste (unless you count my sudden interest in Japanese magical girl music), no sore throat, no fatigue. None of my contacts have started any persistent coughing fits or reported any covid symptoms. Resting heart rate has remained happily in my usual low 50-55 region and I'd expect a viral infection to kick it up a bit.

I'd be telling anyone else "nah mate that's nothing to worry about", and it's the sort of thing I've had on and off for years and put down to hayfever (which went INSANELY bad last week). Plus to put the virus into perspective, I think the current estimate is about 100,000 active infections which equates to ~0.15% chance of having it. But you know, you question yourself sometimes when it's constantly on your mind all day every day. (But not necessarily enough to make panicked calls to the GP)

I don't live in the UK, our lockdown was less severe and by early lockdown I mean the second month, as the first we didn't leave the house.

but go off.
