Ah yes you were allowed to go for a walk and if you happened to see somebody else on that walk well that was just a happy coincidence.
I remember lots of people having conversations from end of garden paths with people at the door.

Not at the start AT ALL. We weren’t allowed to leave the house unless it was to get groceries or for medical reasons at the beginning - oh yes and your daily exercise! For at least the first month.

It wasn't difficult in my experience. Just go to most popular apps and look at the one at the top.

I had wondered why we called ours "Protect Scotland" rather than anything Covid related but I suppose it makes it much easier to search for.
 
Scotland's is my fourth suggestion after NI and Gibraltar. JUST SAYING.

Looking again I suppose it IS fairly clear. But someone can just as easily think "Track and Trace" is the search term and that brings up lots of unofficial apps. The "main" one only being fourth down the list.
 
The app is called NHS COVID-19 - all of the official apps are on the front page of the app store to make it easier for people.

I recommend you download it because I think venues are using it on a widespread basis and you literally won’t be allowed to enter unless you check in using the app (this happened to me yesterday at the Two Brewers).

Not on the Android PlayStore. Not for me anyway. Anyway I have downloaded and will use it tonight as we are heading to the same general area! (Would've gone onto Two Brewers if there was no curfew/the situation was better)
 
The restaurant we went to yesterday had their own track and trace QR code as well as one for the NHS app. It was nice not having to fill in every single detail about my life for a change.

Slight non-persistent cough seems to also be productive. Still makes you wonder where these things come from with all the constant hand washing, mask wearing and plague avoidance!

Not sure about an NHS app having games. They'd probably have some WHITTY HUMOUR
 
that went well. turns out I don't have much of a gag reflex

678 new cases today which is a clear record overall (although obviously they tested a lot less during the first wave). I better not be another number :oi:
 
Do I have to leave the app open all the time? Or, if I shut it down, will it keep working in the background?
 
It doesn’t need to be open and visible but don’t kill it completely either. Just go about and use your phone as your normally would.
 
Is killing it completely the same thing as deleting it? Because I wasn’t planning on doing that.
 
Killing it is when you swipe up from the app picker and it takes it out of memory.

(but it’s only ever in a fixed state anyway giving the illusion of being active and not using battery despite what people think... but that’s another story :square:)

It tracks where you are, but the default notice relates to your home postcode as you can then see your alert level and find out if you’re subject to additional restrictions.

Ah thank you, well he got tested Wednesday morning and got the results Thursday lunchtime! :o I'm stunned. Negative unsurprisingly.

I can only assume the quick response was due to his job, the lack of cases in this area or, my personal favourite, a total ballot fix as we can't POSSIBLY be seen to have high numbers in the south east. I suspect it was all a bit Norma swapping the ballots from Carrie.

Or, you know, maybe he's just fine.
