I searched for Scotland Coronavirus and a story from The Snu came up to say Scotland to go in to 2 weeks circuit breaker from 7pm Friday 11 minutes ago. I came to Moopy to report the news and then went back and it was GONE.

Am I going MAD?

Newspapers often write stories based on rumour or predictions so they can publish quickly if it comes true. If they press the wrong button, they publish by accident.

So it MAY just be nothing. But saying that, I wouldn't be surprised if it is true.

They wouldn’t have to wait until she announces it, would they?

No, but they would wait until they had enough sources they trusted at the very least. So they may have heard it from one person, wrote it up, and if they can confirm with another then they will publish.

Not sure how England can avoid a circuit breaker if the rest of the UK are doing it. Pretty much the only way to avoid a completely fucked Christmas, I think.

It does make you wonder if the economic impact of a fucked Christmas would outweigh the economic impact of a couple weeks lockdown

In a surprise to no one, Scottish restrictions extended for a week.

Do you think she will make the new tiered system National, or will have different tiers locally? From my understanding of what she said it sounded like she may sway towards nationally, which would make more sense in the fact of people crossing lines due to confusion.

I doubt the islands will be lumped in with the mainland, so we might see the Central Belt in the highest tier, the rest of the mainland in another, and then the islands on another again.

I assume it would a bit. Although some of the Christmas economy is fucked no matter what happens - no markets or workplace parties in 2020.

WORK IT LIZZIE.

Just went for lunch, can confirm restaurants (well, the one I went to) in London are not asking questions, and there were several tables that were obviously not from the same household.

Mr Kate and I got asked at one place last night, but they didn't ask for any evidence or anything.

Fuck knows! We don't even live together so there is no way of proving we are a support bubble.

Over the past three months in all the bars and restaurants I have been to i’ve never once been asked if we are the same household

I’ve only been asked ONCE and we had to show proof of address. And once that was sorted they had the audacity to tell us they were closing in half an hour anyway

Oops at Angela Rayner having to apologise for (not unjustifiably) calling a Tory 'SCUM' during a debate on Coronavirus.

We got asked the other day, me, Ms Ron and
Ron Jr. Obviously were from the same fucking house!

Eeeesh. That death toll is going to rise rapidly now isn't it :(

Yep. Hospitals will fill up again, ICUs will fill up again. Just look at the Czech Republic right now. Went from "one of the safer places in Europe" to "Drowing in Covid-Chaos" within weeks. It's insane.

Been a while since i looked at world stats properly. We were third in the world in terms of new cases on Wednesday. Should be back in the top ten by early next week.

Martin Bashir “seriously unwell” :( LADY DI IS CALLING

I heard that on that ropey Diana doc earlier. I wasn't sure if they meant with covid or if the BBC were just calling him a NUTTER to distract from the fabricated document fiasco.
