Oh sorry yes!I mean getting out of town!
Midnight tonight!Did he say when Tier 4 starts? I missed it if so
I missed that. What did he say?Boris' answer to that shielding question was DREADFUL, even by his standards.
Sold!Just purchased 'Boris Johnson is a fucking cunt' on iTunes. I encourage you all to do the same.
(It's at #2, surely after this it'll gain a massive boost)
Yes but the 5 day period has been scrapped. You have to go there and back to wherever you’re going on Christmas Day itself, which is too impractical to even contemplate.@MARY it's still saying London & South East, not East?
I know it sounds silly, but I can’t stop crying. The last two years, I’ve spent Christmas on my own being a junkie, basically. Sort my life out and all I wanted was a nice Christmas. Sounds so superficial when it’s just another day really. But it hurts.

I'm afraid the BBC is saying that Peterborough is going to be within the Tier 4 area anyway. Thinking of you.Yes but the 5 day period has been scrapped. You have to go there and back to wherever you’re going on Christmas Day itself, which is too impractical to even contemplate.

That's not entirely true. My understanding is if you get the virus, you aren't immediately infectious, so reducing the Christmas window means that, for example, you get the virus on the 24th, you wouldn't actually be infectious on the 25th. So it will still have some impact.the virus doesn’t take more than one day to spread

Why didn’t Boris address the very blatant accusation of him batting back queries last week (including by Labour) and saying that relaxing rules are inhumane and his backtrack is because of science (duh) not because he was wrong and everyone else was right
he’s like Trump in that he takes no account for things that have happened in the past. He doesn’t care if he says damaging things or contradicts himself or comes across as a fucking hypocrite. All that matters is what he’s saying today and haven’t we all been doing well and it’s my job as PM to protect everyone aren’t i fabulous etc
ARGH
A member of the public asked why people in tier 3 who were previously shielding were still expected to go into work etc, and mentioned that as someone who had lost two members of her family, it terrified her.
And then Chris Whitty said he was sorry for the losses that she'd experienced - which you'd expect to be the first thing the politician would do.

@Jacques are you back in CHEZZY yet?
Yeah I am focusing on that. The crap part is that my social circle (if you can call it that) was made up of people who were like me, so obviously I’ve had to cut them all off. I’ve not really had a chance to start making many new friends. Is there anyone you can see in Manchester on Christmas Day? I know it sucks a lot that you can’t spend your first sober Christmas with your family, but do focus on the positive that you ARE sober, so as much as this Christmas is going to suck you’re still personally in a much better place and that’s something to be thankful for.
I hate him more than Theresa May and Margaret Thatcher combined. I hate everything that he stands for.
Not the same but when I went back toYeah I am focusing on that. The crap part is that my social circle (if you can call it that) was made up of people who were like me, so obviously I’ve had to cut them all off. I’ve not really had a chance to start making many new friends.
I know I’m just going to have to dig deep. Thank you for your kind words x
Thanks Funky. I appreciate that a lot xxNot the same but when I went back to
Liverpool I lost my circle and had to start again - it’s hard. But it does get better. Covid has slowed everything down in terms of our personal progress but it will happen. I’m further along than you in my new phase but I’m still having periods of impatience because I can’t do normal things. But you were right to do what you did and you have to be empowered by that. There’s no going back. Progress is positive.
