EastEnders 2024 (6 Viewers)

I must say as much as I love the character and she IS an Eastenders legend Patsy Palmer’s acting was pretty dodgy in tonight’s episode. 😬

Kim in todays episode is so familliar

Well I guess the end of tonight’s episode has been inevitable for at least a year… not thrilled about it.

Nor do I particularly care about Phil knowing about what happened to Keanu. Nor did I think too much of the way they contrived the reveal to happen.

I won’t lie, I’m struggling now with it now. Such a contrast to six months ago.

So apparently the Maya storyline is;

something to do with Harvey's son Aaron and his racist attacks

The new Mitchell clan are garbage. The Dad might have potential, but the sons are both lousy actors. It's very GCSE cockney.

Happy to see the nurse from Ab Fab still getting work.

The younger one looks odd, like he’s been in an accident and had a facial reconstruction.

EastEnders is generally crap at introducing characters though. Can barely think of any that started out well from their first episode. Maybe some of the Slaters and Ronnie and Roxie, but how dreadful was Karen & family in their introduction, and even Anna and Gina?

I've missed half of May and all of June due to my travels and the evil iPlayer geoblock. Is it worth catching up or should I just jump in from this week? The last episode I remember is the Yolande and Patrick two parter.

Unless you're especially interested in Billy's extended family and the antics of the teenagers at the gym, then no. Not sure if Whitney had left yet. I don't even recall, although the wedding episode was worth watching. Harvey has a weird side plot, with a woman (but not the way you think).

I think there was some half decent scenes when Karen came back again to do with The Six, but honestly it's been fairly slow. Although the Panesar's are back at the moment, which is nice.

I’d love to be excited about this but Tracy-Ann Oberman seems vile.

Pretty sure she’s chummy with JK and TERF-adjacent.

Yes, she hates trans people. Maybe they'll work that into her return/character and she can be soap's first self-identifying TERF. Though I guess the EVIL Underworld staff back in the day of Hayley in Corrie were the first TERFs wanting to protect their female work space.

:D I think you’re onto something…

Chrissie to SHOW HERSELF UP as a TERF and be killed off plz

Oh she's also a Zionist and tried to get the actress who plays Suki fired for liking tweets basically celebrating that Tracy-Ann had got into some legal trouble for her views. This is going to be FAB, I hope the atmosphere backstage gets to Wendy Richards levels of toxic.

Oh, she's fully unhinged. She once tweeted calling a rapper out for antisemitism and when it turned out she had tweeted the wrong rapper, she was like 'sorry, should have put my glasses on, but idk you might be a jew-hating nazi too maybe lol'.

Shame the actress is a twat, but the character is iconic enough for 2024 EE to ruin.

I mean it was pretty clear who it was going to be, but still well done EE for keeping that quiet.

Delighted to have Jane back, surely one of the most beloved EE characters.

Catching up right now and one episode behind. The scene in the Minimart with Tommy nicking the chocolate bar had Scooch’s Flying The Flag playing in the background :D
