the bass under this track is absolutely FILTHY and RELENTLESS! one of the hardest hitting choruses on the record. and that gorgeous transition into verse 2 (which has a totally different structure to verse 1 - a sign of confident pop songwriting). it fucking bangs. love a good pitch-shifted vocal too. she sounds slightly DERANGED. amazing middle 8. ugh I love it.

This should never have been a single. Its fine but she can do so much better. Its so BASIC
 
I wonder if the release of Army was contractual, due to it being another Max Martin number? I wouldn't be surprised.

However, bad single choice aside, I actually very much adore this song. I love how the first chorus is really understated and then each time it comes around it grows in urgency. by the final chorus she's fucking GOING FOR IT! it becomes an anthem via sheer FORCE OF WILL and VOX POWER!

trivia: it's about her childhood best friend (hence the video being a tribute to her), who is also her assistant manager or something to this day.

Lost and Found is a huge fan fave. I like it a lot but it belongs on a different album. Surprisingly also a Max Martin co-production, not that you'd know. It could've made a decent final single though I think.

"Devotion" is a bit VACANT for me. But I like the softer part in the middle eight.

I think Devotion is the weakest track on the album. I like most of the elements, but it's like two different songs in one and neither really goes anywhere.

I feel guilty giving it just a 6 but I'll do so in the name of objectivity.

I've been listening to this all week and it just grows and grows

I like the drums in the chorus and its very HAPPY sounding to me
 
Y'alls scores on Devotion surprised me. Its one of the best so far for me
 
Scream It Out is so BIG and dreamy and gorgeous! it's interesting how the album is bookended by two songs that are closer to the sound of Halcyon. This is not a million miles from something like Atlantis, just a touch more upbeat and commercial. A really marvellous closer. the vocal layering is TO DIE FOR!

On the normal album, I have an average score of 8.56, so I'm going to call it a solid 8

There was nothing bad at all and there are a lot of keepers
