Friday is sad

Off out with some friends for the evening. I'd love to think that we could agree to not discuss this glorious new dawn, but considering one of them is Finnish and another Italian, I kind of feel that if they need to talk about it, the rest of us should listen.

I don't think it's our friends in Europe are going to tell us anything we don't know.

It's not about what they say. It's about whether they need to say it.

I'm going to have a drink. I have checked the cupboards and I have some Polish lager, some Mexican lager, some Czech lager and some English gin.

This is not the night for the gin. Chin chin, Europeans.

Eurgh people are having celebratory fireworks tonight at various parts of the island. I'm staying in and refusing to watch the news for the next few days.

Yeah I've heard the odd firework. Which is weird given we were something like 60% remain. Fuck off to skegness with the rest of 'em.

Oh god I was just stood on my balcony and wondered why I could see fireworks going off and it’s only just clicked.

About three fireworks went off. Which is somehow more pathetic than NONE

Whenever I take comfort in the fact that Bristol was strongly remain, I have to remember that my ward was actually 50.5/49.5 leave.

I’m in zone 2! Admittedly the fireworks looked like they were coming from the zone 4 suburbs, and god bless the poor cunts who live there, they surely need SOMETHING to live for.

No fireworks here, or indeed screaming or anything at all. I imagine the Poles in the block opposite are thinking WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ARE WE DOING HERE in Polish obviously

Well I went all of ten minutes down the road for a curry and then a pint in THE ALBION of all pubs and NOTHING. But it was 70% Remain here and most bar staff seem to be European of some variety.

For now. Give it a year and Sally and Derek will be behind the bar dishing up hilarious racist funnies and getting the security to give the Lithuanians a good battering. Maybe the Leave voters will get what they wanted after all. A return to good old-fashioned hatred and intolerance. I CAN HARDLY WAIT

Fireworks?! Hope they blew up in their faces
