I went to bed relatively late so I have no right to feel this way. HEY HO, let's not QUIBBLE.

I have THE most amazing 20 year old apprentice in our office. She's really good at her job and I love her dearly but she has no education whatsoever. What's great about her is how willing she is to learn and how she's trying to better herself. Last week, she bought herself an atlas as she wants to "learn about countries". This morning, I've just overheard a conversation where she's really excitedly talking to another apprentice and said "I know all the continents now! Except the snowy ones, I can't work them out." This is after last week's "And I can't believe Madagascar is a country and not just a film!" (!!)

Brilliant I love people like that. I tend to have to deal with the exact opposite - older people who know nothing and are deeply proud of their unshakable worldviews and prejudices.

GOOD GRIEF - one of the managers has come in sporting a new look - the border between "fake tan" and "blacking up" has been well and truly breached. She makes Ariana Grande look like Morticia Addams and I can't stop giggling.

I genuinely thought that Ariana Grande was black. Shee's apprentice isn't the only one LEARNING today!

Ariana is certainly not "white", I was referencing some of the more hysterical allegations the poor lass has had to endure in the last wee while.
