Fuck she's dead Friday

I've spent the day calling ex-Prince Charles "King Charles the Spaniel" because I was rooting for him to choose King Arthur. Mid-afternoon the colleague sat next to me was on the phone to a client and I heard her say partway through a sentence "... King Charles the Spaniel and Queen Ca ... oh, no, that's bloody Floppet's fault because she wanted King Arthur! I keep calling him that now.".

:D My work there is done

Calling King Charles a Spaniel? A little cavalier.

Also, hello. Couldn;t come in here at work because of the swear in the title.

The inlaws are sending me countless videos of them on holiday, all several minutes long. Things like them climbing a tower or walking the streets or hopping on/off a tourist bus.

Old(er) people really should be banned from mobile phones.

Now I'm leaving the messages as unread, but then there are other messages on WhatsApp that I need to read

Thankfully my mother has never got a smartphone. By brother tried her with an old one of his once but it confused the hell out of her and she got her old one back.

The other day I was genuinely busy and didn't respond for about 12 hours (8 off those were overnight) and I got a message saying 'do you really not have time to reply to me? :( '

Oh I get that from my mum. If I don't reply to a text - even one which isn't a question in the first place, I can guarantee I'll get a phone call after a couple of hours.

And I've been told off for 'cold' replies because I don't put a 'x' at the end of messages.

I find the x thing really odd. Like today I got an text from a parent in from my youth group and it had an x on the end. I don't feel right replying with one!

I put an x on most messages. And if I'm annoyed with someone I remove the X. Because I'm mature like that :D

Say if a customer messaged you saying 'Hi Rachey, have you got any ginger fudge today? Xx'

What would you reply with? :o

It would depend if it was a regular. We have a few that do message the page and put an x on the message so I always respond the same.

Send them videos of you unloading the dishwaher

Is it not a thing in America? Next time I'm over, I'll have to introduce it; I'll call them 'affectionate freedom crosses' to make sure they catch on.
Try a different location than New York for that
