I got 4/6 deaths right, which isn't terrible (maybe Ghost too)

Mind you I did get another 8 guesses wrong :D

I was willing him to die EVERY SINGLE TIME he was on screen and then up pops another 'hero' to save him. I did love the episode, but still am left feeling fairly disappointed at the lack of death. :D Is that weird?
 
KindaCool who voted for Cersei to be dead at the end of that episode was the only person to predict Melisandre's death - though actually thinking about it, it really did make sense that she was always due to die this episode. I'd have just expected to see her arrive at the end of Episode 2 I guess, so she didn't really cross my mind to be a goner.
 
Yaaas Arya. There really is no one better to kill the Night King than her.

Was sad to see Melisandre go.
 
I still think that Arya and Gendry's PITY FUCK was the low point for the show. So silly.
 
for a moment there I thought we would have a NIGHT OF THE CLOAKED DAGGERS in the crypt what with Missandei being grumpy with Sansa. she probably will still come for it at some point, the wench!
 
I'm GLAD the major players are still alive. Having them die in Cersei's plotline is light years better than dying predictably in a fight against poxy old Night King.

If they all died now, Cersei's plotline would be reduced to a non event.

I.e.
- her next interaction with Jaime and Tyrion is going to be priceless
- A final bitchfest between her and Sansa will be tv legend. Sansa's dialogue as she looks at a dying Cersei is essential
- Jaime and Briene uniting is going to be a good love story. Possibly a tragic one
- Jon and Daenerys MUST remain till the end because having one die will make the final winner too predictable. Besides, their confrontation with Cersei will be amazing
- The Hound has to see what his brother has become.
- Arya has Cersei on her list. But she's already killed the Night King. Will she hog Cersei's death too?

SO MUCH TO LOOK FORWARD TO.
 
In summary: Too many fight scenes, not enough dialogue. More interested in the aftermath episode.

ikr! the biggest giveaway this episode seemed to be long glances and that long tender oggling between bran and the night king looked either like they were conspiring or were ready to get it on any moment.

ps so excited to see more of rivetting power couples missandei and grey worm, gilly and samwell :)

I wanted less, not more. There were some iconic highlights but over an hour of intense fighting was just too much, especially since none of the major characters died.

Melissandre was the best thing about the episode and it was sad to see her vanish.

Another favourite scene was wheb Sansa and Tyrion almost committed mass suicide.
 
I’m glad the whole thing about the dead walkers is over. Or is it not?

It was always my least favourite storyline, and I guess there will be no explanation of it at all?
 
Like why did they exist and what the fuck is Bran doing other than being Queen of the Night?

The Night King was created by the children of the forest to protect them when the First Men came to Westeros.

What Bran is has been explained enough. Fanciful, yes, but there are Dragons and dead men and Stone men and witches, so some things are fanciful.

I think it was in Season 6. There was a flashback to one of the Children of the Forest pushing Dragonglass into a human's chest.

It's long suspected that human was a Stark*, perhaps even Brandon the Builder (who built the wall)

*many other theories exist

QUEEN MELISANDRE was the best thing about this apisode.

Arya had her great MOMENT, but I couldn't help feeling that the Night King went out too easily. It feels rushed.

Also I agree with @VoR that it's getting quite conventional since it's passed the books. I was waiting for a red wedding or at least a prince Oberyn moment that never came.

All in all, a good spectacle, which could have been much more.

A subdued episode, but served as a pretty good appetizer for the final battle.

Poor dragon and Missandei. But their execution is sure to kick things off. Queen Daenerys looked like she was BOILING.

The Gendry/Arya romance is sheer stupidity. So glad she rejected his proposal.
 
That was great episode. I was rather enjoying the Jaime & Brienne romance until he pissed off back to a life of incest with his sister. I did always think Brienne was a lesbian though.
 
I enjoyed it very much this week. A good dose of plotting and intrigue (VARYS :disco:), tension building nicely and a couple of deaths for good measure.

I can't say I will miss Missandrei's blandly delivered one line per episode, but Daenarys is certainly getting closer to the madness and I thought Emilia Clarke was rather good in this episode. Cersei has been underused but then they didn't really leave her anyone in Kings Landing to work off.
 
I liked this episode, finally giving Emilia some range and Brienne in her robe in the courtyard looked fabulous.
 
Now that was MUCH more like it! Loved having some actual dialogue compared to last week

No. Varys is amazing. Nobody else works a flowy robe like Varys, while drifting through the corridors of power pondering which powerful person is the least overwhelmingly incompetent.
 
Varys is such a shithouse rat, but I agree integral to the constant power struggle.

I do get a semi for Cersei's cropped hair and bitch face.

No. Varys is amazing. Nobody else works a flowy robe like Varys, while drifting through the corridors of power pondering which powerful person is the least overwhelmingly incompetent.

Too much of a CREEP for my liking. Although thinking about it there are quite a FEW creeps in this show.
