They're not protest votes. I'm saying under a FPTP system the ONLY time radical change will ever happen is in times where there is a hugely important change happening politically (Brexit probably the most important political landscape in 70 years in the UK). If people actually voted for what they believed in, then things WOULD change - they'd just all have to do it and they're more likely to at times like this because they have an actual reason to. The Lib Dems are standing for something very different to the Labour party at this election - whereas in the past, they've always just felt like a slightly more moderate version of the same thing.
