The DUP have actually said they would support a LABOUR-led administration SANS CORBYN to get rid of the Irish Sea border

I seem to recall the Lib Dems saying that they might support the Tories if Boris promised a second referendum on his deal.
 
The Lib Dems decimation is both amusing but also rather sad at the same time. Surely Jo Swinson will go after the election?
 
The Lib dem 'decimation' has come along with the Brexit party and the Green party failing to make any strides too because yet again everyone says 'You have to vote tactically', which means that no party apart from Labour and the Conservatives will EVER have any power. There's no other reason as far as I can see.

What NONSENSE! Jo Swinson has managed the hitherto seemingly impossible task of being less popular than Corbyn and they’re paying for it as people leave them in droves.

She'll have to - at this rate she's going to do worse than Clegg in 2015.

But, as I've said, why vote ToryLite when you can just vote Tory? She's alienating disillusioned Labour voters an absolute treat, shoving them back towards Labour.

"If there is a law in parliament that I can vote for that makes sure a Brexit deal is put to the public with an opportunity to remain, I will vote for that”

So nothing about supporting the Tories on anything else.
 
It really is easy to slate the Lib Dems for being Tory lite. But surely that's better the fucking Tories! Although they're just as Labour lite.
 
I kind of disagree that people are that wedded to binary politics.

I think the Lib Dems should be sweeping up. Lots of people dislike Johnson/Brexit, but don't want to vote for Corbyn either. The Lib Dems did well off that sort of situation in 2010 (CLEGGMANIA FLASHBACKS), but I think the difference is they were offering some radical and exciting policies, and Jo Swinson's Lib Dems are absolutely not. Their manifesto is watered down and uninspiring, offering nothing that another party doesn't offer more boldly, and their one radical policy (revoke article 50!) has been walked back time and time again.

But it works both ways because the tactical voting means voting Lib Dem over Labour in some areas.
 
I have the ITV debate on making careful note of those without AIDS ribbons.

This Labour guy is wet. The Tory guy is a dick obviously. The PC guy is quite a bulldozer. Farage inflaming the normal racist rhetoric.

As ever Nicola and the Greens speak the most sense to me.
 
Nicola is by far the best debater of the lot. Some of them shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near this studio.

Why are Boris and Jeremy continually missing these debates?
 
Nicola has fully rounded arguments, respects the debate and can answer any question. Unlike almost every one of them.

They have more to lose than gain every time they speak, and also they don't want to be seen to be on the same level as the other parties. Personally I think all the leaders should show up to every debate but at least there was a head to head, which is more than we got in 2017.
 
Burgon doing relatively OK so far is a pleasant surprise. But yeah, Corbyn tends to do well on this platform (when he’s not being asked about antisemitism) so I feel like he should’ve shown up.

It feels like he got very spooked by the Andrew Neil interview.
 
I was thinking that, but if you want to dodge the antisemitism issue, Burgon probably isn’t the ideal stand-in :D

Sturgeon won that hands down I’d say. Green lady and Plaid Cymru gay also did very well. Burgon survived it and did better than the Tory robot, which is the best he could have hoped for. Farage was Farage. Swinson was...there.
 
Nicola Sturgeon has won pretty much every debate she's been in through the last few weeks. She is a very marmite character but you cannot deny she is an excellent politician. Whether you agree with her or her party's beliefs, I think she comes across as trustworthy and reliable. Well as trustworthy and reliable as a politician can be.
 
I wish she was as good at governing as she is at debating. She’d be deadly if not for the sense that behind the bluster she doesn’t actually DO much of anything beyond pushing for another IndyRef.

But yes, she did very well tonight.

I do not have a clue. It isn't broadcast here at all! We only hear about Indyref and see Nic doing these debates and quick sassy vox pops.

a reminder - Facebook doesn't fact check political ads that appear on their platform, but they will happily take money to display them.
 
Somebody (maybe the same guy) claimed that when he knocked, rather than tell him to fuck off, he invited him in and politely listened to him for 40+ minutes, ergo eating up time he could have used to persuade people with any actual intent to vote Conservative. :D

If I get any Tory door knockers (unlikely, they're barely even bothering here) I might do the same.

I've always said I would do the same, but I've never actually had one of them knock. I presume my social media presence has me BLACKLISTED.
 
(Also, our Tory candidate is grossly overweight and I live on the top floor with no lift, so that might be fun :D )

Living on the 4th floor of a Hackney tower block, I doubt I'd ever get the PLEASURE of a tory at my door.
