Gladiators (BBC reboot)

Last nights was a good ep!
Agree im so bored of Atlaspheres, they made it marginally better with that racing version but seem to have gone back to the original game.

The Ozzie version was terrible. I was over in Oz when it launched and it was a terrible studio set, looking very cheap. Ours is so much better. They did bring Pyramid back though and then left it up as part of the Eliminator :D
Both versions of Atlaspheres are treated as seperate events. Tbh I like having it in the mix, that and Suspension Bridge add a bit of variety to the episodes.

The one thing I LOVED about the Australian series were the presenters who were clearly having great fun. Oh and them randomly having Tilt (though the French and German shows also have it).

Yes wow at Apollo just head butting. Nice to have Fire on Hang Tough and Unleash as the last event for a bit of mixing things up.

Fridge!!!

Fire on Hang Tough was proper lol. No dignity for either of them. And the poor contender didn't even get a point for lasting up there :D

They were so shook she was on Hang Tough they forgot to film an intro. Even the commentator was shook and couldn’t say her name, just saying “she’s against this person”

Just starting Semi final 1 15 mins behind - this looks like two good head to heads! :disco:

That's a lot of events missed by Tyler though so, again, not sure how I feel about the eliminator being a fair balance.

Awful I know but as soon as I seen Mo was injured I thought “Yes! Let’s have Tyler back!”

Naomi is obviously brut force stronger than any of the Gladiators isn't she - apart from Cyclone and potentially Diamond when she reappears.

Ella is such a good all rounder though and better at the Eliminator but that's the name of the game - its good to see the points actually count on the events before.

I would have loved to see Mo in the Eliminator but Finn anyway was not on point this round, which I remember seeing back in the day with the initial fave contenders..

Wish they would get rid of COLLISION its so boring and skill-free for the Glads.

Just caught up on last week's and ALTHOUGH I'm sad for Mo, and ALTHOUGH I want to explore Finn's body, and ALTHOUGH it isn't fair that Tyler got to swoop in to do one event and then the Eliminator against a far more exhausted and beautiful Finn, I don't care coz Tyler felt final-ready from his first appearance. Happy days.

ALSO I share the annoyance about those bollocks Collision rules. If you drop your ball and somehow get it back before it falls to the mat below it's really fucking impressive and you absolutely deserve a point if you then get it in the net.

And why are they even leaving the other contender's coloured balls up there when it's not their turn??? Or having coloured balls at all? PISS OFF

Think we are in for a cracking final.
I take it Diamond is injured?

That was a great semi. Absolutely wild that, for the men, it was two contenders who'd previously been eliminated fighting for a place in the actual FINAL to face someone who had also previously been eliminated?!

Delighted for Josh and Emily, though I'll miss Millie's big lips. Shaun seemed sweet but felt like a poor man's Finn (TV version) so I was happy he squandered his lead. Josh has the more emosh backstory too

It was a lot more enjoyable for watching it with my finger on fast forward to avoid all the links.

Still not quite over the sight of Steel humping away on Shaun during Hang Tough.

I don’t get Suspension Bridge I just find it so stacked in the gladiators favour.

Suspension Bridge is inevitably quite dull, apart from anything else. They need to find a better way of using the same equipment.

Suspension Bridge never really lived up to the way they hyped it up in the OG series if you ask me too. Although, in terms of stacked in favour of the Glads, I'd say no more than Duel is?

I also just realised how little head start the contenders now get on The Wall? Is it something like FOUR SECONDS?

Agree about the final line up - going to be a great watch. Josh is bloody brilliant at the Eliminator :disco: He's so agile.
