Green Friday

I need to stop gloating on social media and crack on with my day, but I can't.

I’m sat in a lovely independent coffee shop that has a “take a book, leave a book” shelf and there’s a Robert Galbraith.

I can’t work out if taking it without leaving it and chucking it in the bin is better than leaving it and letting someone get it for free, hence stopping a purchase.

🤔

It also looks VERY unread…

We got our annual bonus today and it wasn't bad. I'm going to be sensible and pay off the rest of my boiler which has been slowly being paid on a 0% credit card offer. I hate owing money.

Thankfully I haven't had one in my urethra.
I was asleep for my endoscopy, that was the most pleasant one.
Throat is bearable, but not exactly pleasant.
Bum wasn't too bad, but the prep is the stuff of nightmares for me.

Burn it.

I've had no experience of cameras being shoved up or down me, which feels quite fortunate given my age compared to some of you. I'm sure it's a question of when it'll happen rather than if, though.

This will be my third or fourth time at the rodeo. I screamed BEFORE it went in last time. I suspect I may be calmer today, as I'm not especially stressed or anxious at the moment, although I can sense some fear building.

Woke up at six, turned my alarms off, then promptly fell asleep again until my manager phoned me at 9 :hostage:

Our comedy garden line up has been announced and it's very good this year.

I've gone for Sara Pascoe/Joel Dommett/Hasan Al-Habib/Laura Smyth/Jen Brister in one line up, but there are seven other dates and can find at least two I'd love to see in all of them.

2026 is shaping up to be a very good year for comedy.

I've only got Mike Wozniak lined up, John Kearns doesn't excite me, I missed Vittorio Angelone, I'm very keen to book Ania Magliano, Alasdair Beckett-King, Harriet Kelmsley and Sooz Kempner. Umming on Phil Wang.

I've only ever had a camera crew up my bum. It was fine compared to the chemically induced clear out the day before and almost worth it for the tremendous fart afterwards, at which my fellow patient in the recovery area appeared visibly distressed.

I had one down the throat :ken: and the only unpleasant thing was the doctor trying to get me to look at my larynx ON SCREEN

No thanks there's a reason it's on the inside

I can't even look at photographs of the inside of my eye, I can't begin to imagine the horror of looking at live footage of my internal organs

ms ron hates anything to do with INSIDES where as I love having a little peak under the hood at some tendons and shit.

My first one, I watched the live feed of a huge lump in my bladder. I had no idea what the inside of my bladder would look like, but presumed the bump wasn't right. Yet they refused to say anything.

I have been lucky not to have a camera prodded round any of my anatomy just yet which I feel is probably a RESULT considering being progressively decaying being. I also can’t STAND the sight of any innards including BLOOD. I have had to navigate my way around 2 children’s blood, but if I see my own I tend to just feel QUEEZY.

I just bought tickets on my lunch break for separate Sleeper, Garbage and Transvision Vamp gigs. Not stuck in the past at all.

I’ve had urethra once and I promised myself if I ever needed it again I’d ask for sedation or anaesthesia
Apparently it isn't as bad for ladies but I literally got PTSD after 45 minutes of hospital staff trying to dislodge a kidney stone. They said they'd applied numbing cream but my screams and sobbing indicated otherwise. They kept calling more staff in to have a go, it was like Picadilly Circus between my thighs and not in a good way.
