Song 11: Uhm Jung Hwa - Invitation (1998 South Korea)
90's was an interesting time for Kpop. It was making a transition from a more traditional style to a digitalized version. Uhm Jung Hwa is known for taking much influence from the Dance and RnB styles that were big in the West and singing about a more "suggestive" topic that others hadn't dared much to sing about. :devil::D
 
Song 12: Lee Soo-Young - La La La (2001 Japan)
One of South Korea's balladeers who co-writes her own songs, another sweet ballad that I think still holds up today (and wouldn't be out of place in a K-Drama). I love how this one builds beautifully.
 
Is that album called "My stay in Sendai"? Japanese influence? :o

this is sweet and relaxing like a turn-of-the-century girlband ballad. The bridges and choruses are nice

Song 13: Lee Jung Hyun - Wa (1999 Japan)
Had to go with a live performance for this one. :D It's good to know that Eurodance, even if it arrived late, was masquerading as Kpop with Korean instrumentals in the late 90s. :disco:
 
Song 15: BaBy Vox - What Should I Do? (2003 South Korea)
One of the earliest Kpop girl groups (debuting in 1997), this was one of their last songs from their albums. Who knows what the face of Kpop would have looked like if they continued? :(
