How many kisses do YOU use?

this is interesting because I always find x to be the least passive aggressive :D

The local village Facebook group is full of middle aged/elderly women using x or xx with every post and I don’t think Barbara (79) wants to fuck me.

@LUCY UP YOUR NOEL and @SDF are probably currently going back through any dm's to check for unnoticed passive aggression
Lucille is definitely checking to see if DC’s sent any messages with two kisses on the end. Looking back I’ve had two kisses in a message from him before omg :D:o

I hardly ever use kisses, or at least not enough to have developed a code around them.

Using x or xx or xxx at the end of a text is something I've ONLY seen British people do

I never do, people might get the wrong idea that I actually like them.

I use them when texting my mum and sister, mostly to be polite back. No one else if I can avoid it. A straight guy with a girlfriend used one messaging me, but it stopped after one usage (it certainly got me wondering though!)

For you @LUCY UP YOUR NOEL - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxXxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I think it's

x or xoxo if I'm being ironic
An x that comes after a few messages without is code for "I'm ramping up the flirtiness please respond"
X or :emoji_kissing_heart: to certain friends (normally out of politeness so I'm returning one from them)
xx to my mum (not to say "I want to fuck you")
xxxxxx to Iguana circa 2010-2013
. If I'm annoyed or being passive-aggressive/aggressive-aggressive

But really I haven't thought about it that much x

Using x or xx or xxx at the end of a text is something I've ONLY seen British people do
it's the preserve of very basic brits.

I occasionally use one if I feel guilty or if somebody has done me a huge favour ("omg queen. OK big bottle of something nice coming your way. X") but otherwise NO KISSES EVER.

heart emojis on the other hand are deployed liberally.

Kisses, and emoji as well, are only deployed when I'm taking the piss or am angry at someone. I find them a waste of time to use regularly.

Two for friends.
Five for Mandy.
If Mandy and I argue, we drop to one, then we know we've pissed each other off.
