Enjoyed it, reminded me of an 80's type movie that they don't really make anymore.

Cheesy, fun, and good performances, once I got over the MORALS of glamorising DRUGGING men and ROBBING them

Completely agree! It was an adequate performance in a MASSIVELY overrated film.

I'm pleased for drag king Kathy, but J-Lo would have went all out on the red carpet, which I suppose could just mean body parts with her, but surely her only option now is to pull a CHER protest moment.

No she truly was, she got all the precursor nominations - far moreso than Florench Pugh and Kathy Bates. Laura Dern was probably always going to beat her, but they were tied on critics awards as recently as a couple of days ago. It's a big shocker.

Anyway, sad for her, but it'll just make her victory next year all the sweeter.

I haven't even seen this yet but I'm actually gutted for her. More for the fact it's just so unexpected and random to have Jlo grab an Oscar nom decades into her career. Which now won't happen, probably ever. Poor dear

Laura's performance is quite widely considered not necessarily that great (at least by her own standards) (and she won!) so why not?

The film was okay, as was Jennifer Lopez's performance. But make no mistake there was nothing Oscar-worthy in her performance. She's massively overrated as an actor in my opinion.
