I think of them as being the exact same thingHalli asked the question I was going to ask, is it just like keeping a diary?
A friend of mine who's now in her 70s has written in a diary every night since she was a small girl. I regret telling her, twenty years ago, to leave them all to me in her will when she dies because she was lamenting the fact that nobody would ever read them. Hopefully she won't rememberEssentially it is just keeping a personal diary, isn't it? And being more free with writing about feelings and shit.
But when I think of keeping a diary, I just think of work calendars, meetings and appointments, so I guess calling it Journaling it separates it from that.

It's not so much a record of what I've been doing, but more just what is on my mind as I write or what has been dominating my thoughts and mood. Getting it all out on paper and seeing where that takes me on the page.I keep meaning to look into this, how do you do it @Nancy is there a template as such, or are you writing it like a diary? Are there themes and prompts?
