My dog's got no nose!

How does it smell?

Oh the damage was superficial, the olfactory mechanisms are still perfectly functional.

It is absolutely GLORIOUS here. After a few days over in Ireland with my kids it is lovely to get a bit of a reprieve from the rain.

I'm going biking with Ron Jr then I'm off to pick something up from ebay off a guy called ROLY. Hope he gives me some fudge.

I'm in the office and it;s really quiet so stuff is getting DONE.

Three hours at the allotment, a tip run and I’ve just poured a glass of red as I had to open a bottle for the bolognaise I’m cooking for tonight.

Glorious here too- might go for a wander along the seafront and a swim.

Absolutely disgusting weather here.

Still I've been to a talk at an archaeological dig and a gallery, so I've had my CULTURE HIT for the MONTH.

Bogged off home early - had a bath and a bite to eat and bopping in my chair to Melanie Martinez.

Current view! It really is a lovely day…

Init. Ive just been basking in that glorious late afternoon light that is the background to many a joyous summer night, I am fucking READY.

Ms ron and I have just had our birthdays and life always gets good from then on, year after. Its like the opening party to fun season.

My next door neighbour has put new fence panels up between our gardens. They're five feet tall. The previous ones were slatted with gaps in so I can see down the road as I reverse off the drive. The new fence means the arse-end of my car will have to be in the middle of the road before I can see whether I'm going to run a pedestrian over. Hopefully he'll realise what a bad idea it is when he tries to get off his drive and won't be able to see either until he's actually in the road. Luckily I can still see cars coming towards me on my side but he won't be able to see either side. Knob.

Before anybody says it, I can't reverse my car onto the drive due to a badly-placed telegraph pole that cuts off about eight inches of my drive on one side, the edge of my wall on the other side and a high kerb that means having to gun the engine to get enough power to get up it and, once the car gets over it, it hurtles backwards towards the front door.

Ooh New BGT, but now I feel like I must open a bottle of red to watch it. GOODBYE SOBER SATURDAY.
