Important cultural institution or lowest common denominator MUCK?
I think Big Brother is the only thing I've watched on ITV for years. I gave up on Masked Singer a few series ago and I can't think of anything else I've watched that is an ITV production.
I suppose it serves a purpose giving WASHED UP HAS BEENS a trip to Australia every year though.
That's WASHED UP HAS BEENS learning a new skill and a trip to Blackpool actuallyRather than WASHED UP HAS BEENS a trip to Blackpool?

I never watch TV anyway, but something being on ITV would have me avoid it like the plague.
You clearly need more CULTURED HOMOSEXUALS in your day to day lifeIn my life I don’t think I have ever met anyone with the active dislike that a percentage of Moopy has for ITV. It baffles me.

I think they have upped their drama game recently. At least on occasion.
But I bloody hate adverts, won't watch anything live, and then resent how they wreck the tension and flow of everything.
Also, fuck off Ant & Dec.
Everything they put on is generally the most dreadful tat. Why?
It is still a problem for me though. If you whizz through them, that's a pain. And if you download it without them, somehow the pacing is affected because you can always tell where they would be.I hate adverts too but it isn’t a problem for me now as I record anything on ITV.

If there are gems to be found in the dreck, the branding will have already put me off.

No, we're just very FORTHRIGHT and OPINIONATED, and have low tolerance for TELEVISED SHITE.Is ITV anti same sex relationships? I am genuinely trying to understand.
I'm a terrible sample audience member to be honest Rita. I wouldn't watch dramas on either channel, as they're not my thing in any format.I don’t get it Chrissy. I think the main two channels offer the same variety of programme to the same level. The dramas on ITV are no better than BBC and if you haven’t watched many of the dramas on ITV because it is ITV then you are missing out. They both offer fantastic content.
That's an outdated view. From what I have read on here it seems to be an ITV is “common”, “terrible”, “POV, “council”. It’s all very TORY and from people who seem to think they are above it. I was born working class and will never forget my roots.
I don't mind shows seen as 'common' - I'm rewatching old Waterloo Road episodes. From what I have read on here it seems to be an ITV is “common”, “terrible”, “POV, “council”. I think we should all admit that Downton Abbey was a glorious oasis of Maggie Smith in an otherwise barren desert of a television show. Every scene that did not involve her was terrible.
That's an outdated view.
We're CHAMPAGNE SOCIALISTS looking down on what the REFORM VOTERS watch.
Who ITV were catering to last year when they had NIGEL FARAGE in the JungleI don’t know what a reform voter is though?

On top of that, shows like I'm A Celebrity confirm how awful ITV comes across to me. It's just not for me and I'm fine with that.

This probably isn’t a good thread to start just after watching six weeks of Big Brother on ITV?Important cultural institution or lowest common denominator MUCK?
