Does she have management or is she doing things herself these days?

Maybe Nicki Minaj is in control because I can't see how else you could cock a launch up so badly.
 
Unless the plan is 'cock this launch up really badly', I don't get it AT ALL

Metro was insinuating that the cause or trigger of Leigh-Anne's anger is when Jesy started reporting or suggesting that she was blocked/ghosted by the band, whereas it was the other way around. Jesy quit and then cut ties completely, according to LM. So it was all smiles and acceptance until Jesy started painting a different picture.

That sounds plausible to me.
 
She's pretty much in freefall in terms of iTunes globally though. From being #1 in 10 countries within hours of release, she's top ten in only 4 countries now - Zimbabwe and Jordan joining the UK & Ireland.

And in the US she's fallen from #1 to #50, and not in their Spotify top 200, so presumably it isn't going to have much impact there.
 
Not 2021’s biggest surprise being me suddenly becoming a Little Mix stan out of all of this train wreck.

What the fuck are management/PR doing? Is this a tax dodge?
 
That live was a mess for the obvious reasons, but also Jesy saying she fancies 50 Cent and Nicki Minaj replying that he probably prefers girls with an athletic figure :bruised:

She's a MEAN, MEAN GIRL.

The © on Spotify is directly to Jesy Nelson under exclusive license to UMG. Which is the first time I’ve seen that.
 
It's all being set-up nicely for a strained but lucrative reunion in 2025.

Though any team trying to place puff pieces in the Daily Mail is probably onto a losing streak :D

Maybe she unconsciously doesn’t want it to work out (or the record company hate her or SOMETHING) and has her hopes set on opening her very own tanning salon :)

I was quite surprised to see mentions earlier in this thread that people thought the UK BADDIE wasn’t white. All I ever got from her was white Romford woman with a customary-for-the-region taste for far too much slap and fake tan

On which note, this UK BADDIE rubbish is not the worst thing about this whole debacle but is certainly one of them
 
Not to be a DOWNER but I do have some sympathy for Jesy. She's clearly had a bad time in the public eye, and this backlash probably feels like more of the same, even though it's NOT. I read through the thread on Popjustice and they really seem to DESPISE her.

She doesn't seem like an actively hateful person to me. Even on that live video with Nicki she mostly just looked a bit sad and uncomfortable.

I don't think her public image will come back from this with the audience she'd need to have a successful solo career, and she's very effectively burned all the bridges to her old band mates, so where does that leave her? She seems like a person who would benefit from leaving the public sphere behind, but that clearly isn't what she wants. SAD.
 
If there's actually any justice, her solo career will be in the bin after this. You're lucky to have a first chance at being a pop star, let alone a second.

I'm sure she can retire quite comfortably on what she made in those apparently so awful years in Little Mix.
 
Taking the it was 'the pressure of being in the band' at face value that made her so unhappy previously, her solo career launch really is a horrific baptism of fire. She really does need a better team around her. I mean whoever thought it was really good to put her on an Instagram live with Minaj in the first place?

I do hope she’s not taking it too badly, but it’s not one bad choice that’s derailed this campaign, it’s been a CAVALCADE of bad decisions.

There was talk at one point of them taking Minaj off of the track altogether after the balls thing gained traction :D

The fact they doubled down instead suggests no one managing her has a CLUE
 
She has inspired me to look up how Rachel Dolezal is doing now.

The answer appears to be fine, unapologetic and still doing what she's famous for.
