The time limit was rather stiffling in terms of quality. That was a weak round, although there were handful of gems. Boo to time limits.

Well I'm glad the long awaited return of kalavision managed to avoid any drama.
 
I’ve no idea why it’s triggering me but the way the singer on the Slumber Party track sings the word party is one of the most irritating things my ears have heard in a long time. The Camille song is also bugging me as it sounds exactly like something else but darned if I can think of it.

Yes at first I panicked but I can't see how it's a major big deal, surely in a normal ASFM (with 40 songs!) you kind of rank the ones you might give points to anyway, so that's usually 13 songs, plus the nearly-there ones which probably gives you close to 20.

All that's different in this is not deleting your definite nil pointers and trying to rank them, of which about a third you can safely say are at the bottom of the bin, leaving only a handful in the middle to sort out.

You could also put them into small groups of amazing, very good, average, shit etc, and then sort accordingly. I really don't think people need to stress over ranking a song 23rd or 24th if it's roughly in the ballpark you want it to be!
 
Put them in order with a quick spotify recap. Was going to let them settle in, but time is of the Lemonescent so have SENT THEM to our HOST.

I actually really enjoyed doing it this way - I gave them all a score out of 100 on Excel and then used it to rank them. I will say that I actively disliked the songs I ranked 20 - 31, and only my top 5 received a score of more than 80. But those 5 are real keepers!
 
I'm currently giving them a second listen and what I'm doing is I've made a separate playlist where I add each song one by one immediately after listening and put them where I think they should rank at the current time before the rest of the songs are added. Does that make sense pls?

I'm surprised how well Rolli und Rita are doing at the moment.

They went from "completely unlistenable" to "why do I keep listening to this" overnight for me.

Although don't get TOO excited whoever sent it :eyes:
 
I’ve done a second listen and there were a few significant moves in my ranking. I think that 13-31 are just about set now, but I might do a final listen to the Top 12 or so tomorrow night to make sure they’re in exactly the right order.
 
I listened to just over half of the songs on the way to work this morning, and gave them ratings as I went - will do the rest tomorrow morning, I think.
 
I just need to get my rankings to a MACHINE READABLE format and then I can SUBMIT them to KALABALIKEN.
