Kylie - Padam Padam (1st single, May 18th)

All we're going to remember is that 2023 was The Summer Of Padam

And we're living through it RIGHT NOW.

Enjoy it and note it, because this is A MOMENT.

Kylie's back in the States for her KTU gig at the weekend so it is unlikely that there will be any more promotion beyond the pre-recorded segments we seem to be getting.

Nabbed from Sayhey:

PP Spotify UK:

Week 1 - 540,280
Week 2 - 720,299
Week 3 - 843,761

Total - 2,104,340

PP Spotify Global:

22nd day : 682,082 (biggest update)

TOTAL : 12,556,686

Padam Padam - Extended Mix
1st day : 44,721

Early signs make me think this'll be one of her flop eras though? The lead single feels too slutty and basic (:disco:) for the masses, and so far the campaign doesn't feel like it has the more mainstream sell-ability of the last two albums ("Kylie goes country!" "Kylie does disco!")

You really are a CLUELESS FUCKING CUNT

I live in the same town, well technically they are in Colliers Wood but still, I should probably do the same.

Where even is it? I work in Wimbledon and head into the office tomorrow so I should POP BY :disco:

I thought it was in one of the retail parks in Colliers Wood but it turns out it's on Plough Lane near the AFC Wimbledon football stadium so even closer to me that I thought. Maybe a 15/20 minute walk.

So in summary, currently on the top 3 streaming services in the UK she is at:

#25 on Spotify
#10 on Amazon
#11 on Apple

they also moved it up Hot Hits a bit. 25 on Spotify is insane.

14 in today's mids with some streaming data allegedly missing. probably looking at #12 this Friday and top 10 the following week...

Another playlist it's been added to this week is Summer Hits UK, which has been appearing on my Spotify front page a lot over the past few days.

This really is the power of Spotify's playlists in full demonstration, isn't it?

FOR ONCE I'M NOT COMPLAINING

I know I’m behind the times but I still can’t get on board with how playlists can be allowed to dictate the chart when many tracks are just played by default by the listener than out of choice but when it (rarely) benefits my faves I’ll take it.

Because the big labels can dictate the charts.

AS IT EVER WAS

Now #10 on Apple Music.

So she is top 10 on two of the three major streaming platforms.
